"I'm glad we took this time to get out of the dorms. It's nice you know? Getting out once and awhile. See new things and just... Just get to be normal teens for once. It seems like it's been so long since we've had a normal and chill day," Mina said as she walked with the rest of the Bakusquad.
They had all decided to get out of the stuffy and sad dorms and go out to the mall. It was a change of scenery for all of them. But even if it was a little different it was still nice. All of the teens there could feel the uneasiness of one another. But no one said anything. They could feel the missing puzzle piece of the puzzle and how large that hole was. It seemed like they had all made a silent agreement to not talk about a certain explosive blonde.
"Hey guys! Look! There's Ice Cream over there! Maybe we can get some!" Sero pointed out and they all smiled at each other, running over to the single ice cream stand in the middle of the mall.
"Alright! What does everyone want?" Kirishima asked with a smile, pulling out his wallet. The red head watched everyone's eyes light up at that moment as they all walked around the huge stand. Looking at all of the ice cream flavors.
"Hey there kids! What would you like today? You all seem like you need a little pick me up," the ice cream vendor mentioned with a kind smile, getting out a paper and pencil so he could write down what they wanted.
Mina pointed to a sugar filled cotton candy ice cream flavor, her eyes widening and the man that owned the stand just smiled and nodded back at the girl. He quickly wrote down what Mina before looking back at everyone else. Kirishima has asked for a red velvet ice cream, also getting chocolate chips added to the top. Sero asked for the mango ice cream as he liked things more tart than sweet.
"Surprise me," Jiro said to the man and he just smiled and nodded, taking one look at the purple haired teen before quickly writing something down on his paper.
"How about you boy? The one with the yellow hair and the black lighting bolt? What would you like?" The man at the stand asked and the whole group looked behind them.
Standing there was Kaminari who was looking down at his feet. The teens frowned at him and the man at the stand noticed how their whole need shifted. He had agreed to get out and hang out with the rest of the group. But he was silent for most of the ride there. It was like he was on autopilot. The electric boy jumped when he was called out. His eyes slowly wandered up at the ice cream vendor and shook his head. He didn't feel well...
He wanted all of his friends to be there...
"It's on the house kid... You look like you need it right now," A voice called out to him and Kaminari zoned back in to see an ice cream cone being held out to him.
The ice cream was a simple vanilla. But on the top was red syrup and some orange sprinkles. It reminded Kaminari of the one thing he missed most. But it wasn't one of those sad feelings this time. It was warm... Welcoming even. It made Kaminari smile a bit as he took the ice cream and held the cup close to his chest.
"It's on the house for all of you. It's like you aren't even teens anymore. It's like everyone grows up too fast these days. Enjoy life while you're young or you're gonna regret it when you get my age," The man said with a wink and gave everyone their ice creams.
"Thank you so much sir! We really owe you one!" Kirishima cheered, bowing a bit before taking his bowl of ice cream from his hands.
"The only thing you kids own me... It's your happiness. I can tell you all are nice kids. I hope things get better for you guys. I've seen you on the news you know? You're some of the kids in that class 1-A at UA right?" The man asked and all of them nodded, curiosity starting to set in.
