"IT'S ALL MY FAULT LONDON LEFT," BAILEY SAID TO ZACK AND I.

"it is not. london hated a lot of things on this boat besides you," zack reassured as he patted her on the back. "that came out wrong."

"nice pep talk, zack-o." i snorted as i stirred my smoothie before taking a sip.

"here, guys. this will cheer you guys up. it's a seaweed smoothie with a broccoli boost," cody said as he came over with two gross looking smoothies for bailey and i.

bailey was feeling really guilty about london leaving, and thought it was all her fault. i, on the the other hand, was just really sad about my best friend leaving the boat.

"thanks, codes . . ." i said, slightly disgusted as i got up and took my smoothie from him before sitting back down.

"we want them to cheer up, not throw up" zack said.

"hey, it's the thought that counts," i told him, nudging his leg lightly with my foot. i figured i might as well try it, so i took a small sip.

     i shouldn't have.

i immediately spit out the smoothie. it tasted like dirt that a dog pooped on, ate, threw up, then pooped on again. i stood up and started coughing, trying everything to get that taste out of my mouth.

"oh my god, that sucked!" i wiped my mouth and put the smoothie on the counter. "sorry, co —"

i let out a small scream as the boat was turned around. zack gripped my waist and pulled me closer to him to stop me from falling down. i grabbed on to the counter as cody tripped and spilled bailey's smoothie all over mr. moseby.

the four of us started laughing as cody said, "i told you my smoothies would help cheer them up."

"hey, where were you last night?" bailey asked me as we waited with the rest of the class in the lobby.

"hm — what?" i teared my gaze away from the extremely detailed carpet.

"i went to say goodnight to you, but your roommate said you hadn't come back yet."

"oh . . ." my eyes widened. i bit my lip as i tried to think of an answer. i probably shouldn't tell her. bailey seems like the type to snitch if i'm being honest. "is that so? well —"
