CHAPTER EIGHTEEN:
Why, It's Greased Lightning McQueen Member Freddie Mercury!

▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

THEY HAD BEEN WAITING FOR TWENTY MINUTES.

After Katie sped around the ship not once, not twice, but three times, Kurt finally made her stop (out of fear for his own life) and give one of the twins a turn.

After a painfully long game of Rock Paper Scissors—never let identical twins play that game—Katie ended up shoving Cody into the driver's seat, telling him to 'Step on it!'

That was now twenty-five minutes ago.

It would seem that Cody did not, in fact, step on it.

Cody was a very cautious, patient person. He was attentive, and he liked to take his time with things.

Unfortunately for everyone on the ship that had places to be, this applied to his driving, too.

"What is taking so long?' asked Zack. "It's my turn to drive already!"

Zack was not a very cautious, patient person.

Immediately after Zack spoke, a horn beeped — the same horn that Katie beeped when she yelled, 'Out of the way, grandma!' at Mr. Moseby on her third loop.

Katie was also not a very cautious, patient person.

       "Here they come."

"Yeah, in ten more minutes," Katie muttered under her breath, laid out on the pool chair next to Carey, carelessly flipping through a magazine she had read twelve times now while waiting for Cody.

"Good job, sweetie!" Carey called out as the red car slowly turned around the corner. Katie looked up to see Cody waving, and Kurt fast asleep in the passenger's seat. "That's my little defensive driver."

Zack walked over to them as the car jolted to a stop, waking Kurt up.

"Did you ever get over one mile an hour?"

"Once," replied Kurt, "when an old lady pushed us out of her way."

"Alright, my turn. Get out, Flash."

"This should be quick." Katie sighed as she reached underneath her chair, pulling out little sunglasses and a head wrap she may or may not have stolen from the same old lady that pushed Cody and Kurt earlier. She was going to ride in style next time.
