Caine's POV

I closed my eyes as the metal coated whip made contact with my back again.

"Lie up straight!" I heard Emery's father yell as he kicked my broken legs.
I was lifted up and they chained my arms far apart as whips descended my back.
I stood on shaky legs as I forced myself to stand straighter.

I hissed as more lashes landed on my back.
Blood spilled out my mouth as I go through the same thing Emery had went through.
Not the beating up part but the part where I was slowly dying.

It'll be over soon.

"You are going to see Emery soon and if he has suspicions about the bruises,you're fucking dead" I heard them say as I nodded as they finally released me from the shackles that held me apart.

"Stand up straighter! And if you look him in the eyes or speak of any of this,I will make sure you never see Emery again  " I heard them say as King Iris grabbed my neck and punched my already dislocated ribs making me fall in pain.

They beat me up until I was standing straighter now.
They poured cold water on me to wash off the blood and put on those intoxicating bigger sized clothes to hide the bruises.

"Let's go!" I walked out leaning against the  wall for 00.2 seconds before they'd whip my hands telling me to go up to Emery's room.

Upon entering,I saw Emery sitting on his bed.

"Its fine. You don't have to restraint him" Emery says.

"Its necessary my lord. King Dominick's orders" the guards says as they walked out.

"Caine?how are you doing today?" I heard Emery's voice asked as I don't meet his eyes.

Remember, you'll never be permitted to speak or be in the same room as Emery is you look at him or speak to him back.

"Are you hungry?" He asked softly holding a blood bag as I fight off my vampire.

I haven't been drinking that much anymore....
If I were hungry,I'd bite myself.

"Did something happen when I wasn't here?" He asked again and I forced myself to stand upright so he doesn't become suspicious.

"I don't know what happened but I want you to know that I'm here for you" he says softly.

"Have a seat Caine" I obeyed sitting down as I looked at my chained ankles.
The shackles were covering the burnt marks around my ankles.

I enjoyed the scent of my mate as I felt the bond take its full form as I hid smile.

It was an hour later when the guards came back with one of Emery's fathers ,Silas.

"Times up kiddo. You should get some rest" Emery nodded as he turned to me.

"See you tommorow Caine" He smiled as I meet his eyes once before I leave.

After Emery closes his bedroom door.

"I saw you making eye contact with my son,so, are you ready for another round of beating the fuck outve you?"
