"Wake up."

I groan and open my eyes to skin, glancing up I see Ben's smirk.

"Why?" I ask stretching.

"Because we still have school." He says tapping my shoulder.

"Okay." I say finally getting off of him.

"I got hot." He says.

I look at him smiling, "What?" I ask.

He shakes his head, "I just got hot, that's why I took my shirt off."

I haven't seen him without a shirt much and it's still as heavenly as ever. He looks great, smirking he stands in front of me.

"I'm right here princess." He says.

I look at him as my heart melts at the sound of his words, "I know."

He kisses me gently before pulling his shirt over his head. I watch him walk out of my room, he stayed? He stayed! Oh no! His dad is going to be mad.

"Ben!" I call.

"Yeah?" He asks leaning in the doorway.

"Your dad." I say blankly.

His face drops before walking to me and pulling me into his chest. I sigh and wrap my arms around his back.

"I'll be fine." He says.

I nod letting the warmth hold for a little longer before getting ready for school again. Something about his words made him sound so sure but a part of me still worried. Of course I did. I'm his-. What am I to him?

When school's over I walk out to my car and hop in getting instantly burned.

"Ow!" I squeak. Hearing a low chuckle from the window I look up.

"Hey, got room?" Ben asks smiling.

"Yeah." I say happily.

He gets in next to me now that I've adjusted to the heat.

"Hot?" He asks.

"Yeah." I mumble rubbing my butt.

"Before we go." I say looking at him, "What are we?"

"Give me until tomorrow and you'll know." He says.

I look at him thinking of what he could mean but ignore it. Knowing by tomorrow is great, I just hoped it wasn't a rejection.

"Okay." I say beginning to pull out of the parking lot.

When I get back to my house after dropping Ben off my stomach churns with worry. I hated seeing him with cuts and bruises. They shouldn't be from his dad.

"Hey." I say sitting in front of my aunt.

"What's up?" She asks.

"Have you ever seen Ben's dad?"  I ask gulping.

She shakes her head, "I've heard him, that's enough for me."

I nod, "I've heard him."

She looks up at me, "When?"

"On the phone, he was yelling." I say frowning.

She wraps her arm around my shoulder, "It's okay."

Soon enough me and my aunt made dinner together and ate while watching something on Netflix. I began to get tired so I headed up to my room and crawled into bed. Pulling out my phone I begin to type.

Goodnight - Me

Goodnight, don't let the bed bugs bight - Ben

I won't - Me

I click my phone off and close my eyes while fading into a deep sleep.

"Hey!"

I stand and rush down stairs where my aunt stood. Quickly I move my eyes to a man standing on the porch.

"Who is that?" I whisper.

"I don't know." She shakes her head.

"I'm going to call Ben." I say.

I quickly pull up his contact and it begins to ring.

"Hey." Ben says

"Ben." I whisper, "There's a man on my porch."

"What?" He asked, "I'll be there soon."

He hangs up leaving me and my aunt sitting quietly hoping the man would leave. I hear Ben's voice and then the man leaves. Voices still continue outside of the house and I step out as much as my aunt didn't want me to.

Ben walked up the stairs to me, "Just a rando." He says frowning.

"Oh." I say, "Okay, thank you."

He nods and takes my hand, "Time for school."

I wave to my aunt as we get in the car and leave.

"Have a good day." Ben says kissing my lips.

"You too." I say before we both head to our class.

A  few classes pass and the ones with Ben were especially enjoyed. The last class came around and my teacher, Mr. Quart, spoke for hours. I almost fell asleep until a loud knock boomed against the classroom door.  The teacher looks around the classroom glaring before opening the door to something I least expected.
