"She looks like crap."
"Wow rude much?"
"Sorry, I was just saying. I think I have some moisturizer in my backpack."
"Look at her. She looks so... calm and peaceful. As if she was sleeping. Do you really think she can hear us?"
"Heck no, I heard some nurses talking about the 'brain dead' one. It's got to be Cary."
"Brain dead? Doesn't that mean dead but... still alive?"
"Yeah I guess so. But who cares! Finally!"
Reaches into backpack again and comes out with lotion.
"Brooke, what if she was trying to tell me something yesterday day?"
"Then she would've! But she didn't tell you and now she's in the hospital. Maybe you should be glad she didn't tell you."
"You're terrible!"
"Casey lighten up, it's not like she cares. Do you care Cary?"
Takes her head and shakes it side to side. "See?"
"I still hate being here. Gives me the creeps."
"Maybe she'll get lucky and get visited by a ghost. God, she must get awfully bored just lying there."
"Brooke, did you ever tell Scott?"
"Shit. He's going to flip!"
"And I'm not going to be the one who's here when he does. Get better Cary."
Rushes out of hospital room, Brooke not too far behind her.
"Great friends you got there Caroline."
"Nurse Kanu please keep your nose out of our patients personal business."
"Yes sir.
Help me out here please? Wake up Caroline."
