"Your stupid science teacher gave me homework for you. Does he not understand the word coma?
Goodness, Caroline, your hair looks ghastly and your lips are chapped like hell. You know if you used- What the hell am I doing? I'm talking to someone most likely brain dead. You know something? It's actually less fun to talk to you when you don't respond."
Reaches out and pats her hand.
"What were you trying to tell me? Did it have to do with Scott? With school? I don't know what to do anymore Cary. Everyone at school was asking about you. Scott hasn't showed up at all in the last few days. Has he been by to see you? I'm sure he has. He loves you too much not to."
Looks over at window facing nurses station.
"I was the one who told him you know. I saw him on Monday and he asked where you were. Do you guys usually go through the whole weekend without talking to each other? He seemed like he didn't have the faintest clue you were in trouble."
"You know, I've always been envious of you. The perfect family, boyfriend, friends, grades, everything! You were my best friend but it was also hell just to be near you. Always in the spotlight, but acting as if you didn't notice it, like you didn't need anyone. HA, I was always sure you said that just to be modest. Another perfect thing about you. It was sickening to be honest. Always little miss perfect, but I'm not sure I would blame you if you did love to bask in the spot light. It seemed pretty great there.
Listen Cary, I miss you. I may not be the greatest friend, but I'd really like it if you woke up. It wouldn't leave me to be alone with Brooke. Just... wake up."
