"How you'll be able to stand this amazingly small room, I have absolutely no idea."
"Oh mom, I'm sure I'll love it."
She kissed her mother on the cheek, being careful of the large bump in her stomach.
"You can come home at any time. If classes are hard, just call me and I can help."
"Daddy, come on. You know I'll be fine. My roommate is nice and I already have all my classes. I'll be fine."
"I know Care-Bear."
He gently kissed her forehead before heading back into his car.
"I'm glad you could come Richard."
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." He slung his arm around his wife's shoulders and they waved to Caroline one more time.
She waved back as their cars drove away. She took a deep breath and headed back into her home for the next nine months.
"Caroline?"
"Hi?"
"Coma Girl. It's really you."
"Br- Bradley?"
"In the flesh."
She didn't waste any time running up to him and wrapping her arms around his torso. "I- I tried to find you, but -"
"I know. I came to visit but they told me you'd left."
"I could hear you, ya know?"
"I think I'm realizing that now."
"Thank you."
"What for?"
"Being there for me, without knowing who I was."
He smiled slightly. "Well, then maybe it's time I got to know you."
"I'd like that."
They slowly started walking in towards the dorms together.
"So I was wrong."
"About what?"
"Your voice is high, your eyes are grey, and based on your outfit I'd guess your favorite color is green."
"It became my favorite a little less than a year ago. It's the color of a green spring."
"The best kind of green."
Together they walked through the large dorm. Towards getting to know each other, and themselves.
