TWENTY-THREE
The death of Revan Black made the people's heads turn.
He was a successful businessman, known for managing a successful electronics company catered to the household.
His passing led to a lot of conspiracy, slowly and slowly uncovering the dirt surrounding him and his company.
It didn't take long before his name and career were buried along with him six feet under.
The Umbrella Academy can finally breathe a sigh of relief. No more annoying sneak attacks, chases, and The Society itself.
In the living room, Klaus raised a bottle of beer.
"Fuck yeah, it's time to party!" He exclaimed as his hips swayed to a beat.
Ben shook his head at his brother's antics but joined alongside him soon after.
Diego massaged his shoulder, rotating it even. "Well, it was fun while it lasted. Any plans you want to share?"
"I think a prefer a small drink out," Allison beamed at Luther.
He, in return, smiled back. "Want me to come with you?"
Vanya could help but chuckle at her siblings. "It's finally over, right..."
Her voice disappeared at the teenage pair on both ends of the sofa. One of them was seated on the sofa, her head down and hands clasped tightly around one another. Her hair covered her face like a curtain of black. But they could see her hands shaking.
The other was standing, leaning on the back cushion. His arms were crossed over his chest with his eyes closed. His lips were curled to a frown, his eyebrows knit together.
There was a tense air surrounding them.
"Don't tell me they had a fight again?" Klaus rolled his eyes.
"Did something happen during their fight with Black?" Allison looked over to Luther who placed a hand over his chin.
"They were doing fine when we invaded Black's company. But now that you mention it..." He heaved a sharp inhale. "They became quiet when we came back."
The siblings looked back at Abigail and Five.
"Maybe the person dead isn't really her cousin," Klaus whispered.
"Nope, the forensics confirmed it themselves," Diego answered back. "The person who fell off the building was Revan Black."
"Is something wrong?" Vanya asked. "Among every one of us here, you and Abi--"
"Don't," Five cut her sister off.
Abigail raised her head, staring at Five. "I'm already sorry. What more do you want?"
"Then why didn't you tell me?" The boy barked, glaring at her.
"I was going to, I promise!"
"Well, that was one half baked promise since someone beat you to it."
Abigail stood up, facing Five. "You think I knew he'd appear? I'm not a mind reader."
