As morning came up again, Link stretched and smiled at the light of the sun through the entrance of the stable.
A stable... then last night...
Link looked down puzzled, gently touching his forehead.
Why?
It was the one question Link had.
Surely, this wouldn't be the first or last time Faylana would surprise him.Speaking of,
He thought, looking over at her bed. Or rather, a lack of her in a bed.Link bolted awake, slipping on his boots.
She couldn't have gone far.Speed walking outside, he scouted for the purple haired girl, only to hear the attendant chuckle.
"Don't worry about your little partner. She just went to the back of the stables. She said something about 'getting things ready'."
He kept his chuckle as Link looked quizitively to his right, walking slowly to the back.
Upon reaching a small boulder, he leaned upon it lightly as he heard a few grunts and sighs.
Turning to where they came from, he saw Faylana trying her hand at a wood and bone spear. She must have gotten it from a Bokoblin for sure.
He thought, watching her a while longer. She was good, but not good enough. She stumbled every other thrust and became frustrated by it. And when she had enough, she switched to her sword and vice versa for a good two cycles until Link saw enough.
He walked over to Fay, whom was slightly heaving at her little training session, and gently held he wrists.
"If you want to get better, these are crucial as well as abdominal balance."
Fay jerked at the sudden hands, grasping the spear to match Link's hands.
"Now, when thrusting the spear, don't believe it's similar to a sword, place your force on your shoulders, not your wrists," he breathed while moving the girl into his stance and guiding her arms, "now, thrust forward!"
With a grunt of attack, Fay did as told, managing to strike the air with some force.
Link smiled with satisfaction as he let her go.
"Not bad, but with training yo-"
Before he finished, Fay sent her elbow to the blonds arm."Again, Warn Me before you do something!"
She sighed, turning back to her spear and slowly sliding her hand down it's staff, "Thank you..."Link gave a small smile to the girl, walking past her while looking at his Slate, only to abruptly turn back.
"By the way,did you tell the attendant that I was your 'partner'?" He asked blankly.
"Well, yeah. Aren't we?" She said flatly, "If I am to help you and keep you on your toes, then I am unfortunately your Partner." She sneered playfully, pointing the tip of the spear towards a small peak relatively close by.
"We head towards that peak. I had asked directions after waking up and got a little insight."
Link traced lightly on his Slate, nodding.
It seems having Fay around was convenient after all.
Looking at her spear, Link finally asked."Where did you get your hands on a spear?"
Fay shrugged, pointing to a couple whom were sitting under a pitched tent,"Saved them from being Bokoblin feed. Oh! And they gave me this."
She took out a few slices of what looked like loaf from her sack.
"They said it's some kind of nut cake. Thought you might like some for later, along with some Turnips and mushrooms I gathered."
