The duo began the their walk up the path laid out before them, Link taking out a Lizalfos and Octorock from the water and Fay the remaining Lizalfos on the rock.
Walking further upwards to a lantern, Link took out yet another Lizalfos, tossing a Traveler's Bow to Fay.
"You'll need this alot if you want to go unnoticed."
Link cautioned, smashing open a crate and gave Fay an apple and a bunch of arrows for use."Eat, you'll need something in your system before we climb onward."
He said, biting into one himself.Even with the flattery, Link kept business as business and didn't let it interfere.
Fay followed onward, seeing a Lizafos on duty on the other ledge. Being lead behind a few shrubs up the road, and Link crouched behind her.
"Okay," he whispered, "I'll help you like I did with the spear, just follow my own arms."
Fay nodded, allowing the male to take her hands in his once again. But this time seemed too close for comfort.
For once, she could smell his being even with the new outfit.
He smelled of pine and wood, flint and traces of sweet that hunted to apples and elixers.
He was warm too, and his breathing indicated his focus.Focus... Wait! Fay focus!
Fay mentally snapped back, feeling Link's fingers with hers as he positioned them to hold the arrows farthest end. With a bit of stretching, Link positioned Fay to how she should hold and keep.
"Now, release." He whispered.
In a blinding second, the arrow hit between the skull of the Lizalfos, sending it reeling back in a puff."Thank you," Fay said, turning to Link, "But you do know I know how to use a bow, right?" Fay asked.
Link turned a slight pink, scratching the back of his head.
"You could have told me this before I got so close and personal?.." He grimaced, trying to dismiss the intimate moment.Fay looked away as awkwardly as Link, putting away the bow.
"L-lets just keep going." She said, now leading the way, Link behind her.
They helped scale a few rock bridges and Fay took down three more Octorocks.
"These things really infested the place." She muttered.
"I wouldn't doubt they are Ganon's doing." Link sighed.Further up they came to a rocky path, taking down another Lizalfos who was hiding behind the rock formations. The way was blocked by brambles and thorns and Link took out his sword.
"Wait here." He said, walking back to a fallen tree and cutting some wood from it.
Walking back, he took out a piece of flint and created a small fire near the thorns."Nice one Link," Fay sighed, "It's bound to catch fire now."
Link shook his head, "Light one of your arrows with the fire and shoot straight at them. This is a makeshift Fire Arrow."
Fay looked at her arrows, doing as Link asked.
With another hit, the thorns set ablaze and receded just as easily.
Their excitement only lasted a few moments until they reached the enemy camp. After a long fight, they managed to collect three more Apples, some Hylian Herbs, Truffles, 33 arrows, 23 Rupees and a Tresure Chest.
"Take it," Link told Fay, "You earned it."
Fay opened the small chest, inside was a Royal Bow. She stared at the bow in awe, looking back at Link who was busy picking a Blue Nightshade.
Of all the things, she never imagined having something so valuable.
She walked back to Link who just smiled as he handed her the flower to stow away along with a few lizards.
