"Great. Thanks to Mr Caterpillar, I've got a headache god damn it." Izuku complains as we walk into the cafeteria.
"You did amazing! I bet if you were actually trying the whole time, you would be in first place!" I cheer, attempting to cheer the taller boy up. "Hey Zuzu, how come you didn't get infinity like Raka?" Shinso asks. "Eh. I thought she should keep her glory." he explains while shrugging.
"Aw. That's sweet of you Izu!" I say softly. "Hey guys! I got a table saved for us!" Mei says while walking over. We nod and follow her. "I got Izu katsudon, I got Hitoshi some ramen and I got Raka some soba with some mochi since I know you love it." she says as we sit down.
Izuku and Mei are next to each other while Shinso is across from Izuku and I'm across from Mei.
"Thanks Mei!" I exclaim. "Yeah thanks." Izuku says while starting to eat already. Hitoshi just laughs softly before digging in himself.
"So where were you guys at the assembly?" Mei asks. "We didn't go." Izuku responds shortly. "Why not?" our pink haired companion asks. "Aizawa-Sensei had us do a quirk assessment. Threatened to expel whoever failed but didn't." Shinso explains. "Probably a logical ruse." I shrug.
"No. I don't think so. Aizawa is apparently known at UA for expelling his students. Hence why there isn't a 2-A heroics class." Izuku says. "Its true. At the assembly, the whole section for 2-A was empty." Mei confirms. "So then why didn't he?" Shinso questions. "Probably potential or some shit like that." Izuku says.
"Midoriya, please do refrain from cursing." a blue hair boy scolds while walking over. "Who are you?" Shin asks while yawning. "I am Tenya Iida." the boy explains while chopping his arms around. "You're the kid who yelled at me at the entrance exams, right?" Izuku asks.
Iida tenses and straightens up. "Yes and I would like to apologise for my actions. It was very disrespectful and uncalled for." he says while doing a perfect 90 degrees bow. "It's cool. I don't mind. Just don't do it in front of so many next time?" Izuku says while waving his hand around.
"Ah. Right. Again, I apologise." he says again. "It's cool. Don't sweat it. Izuku Midoriya." Izuku says, holding out his hand to introduce himself. Iida shakes his hand. "Hitoshi Shinso." Hitoshi says tiredly. "Ochaco Uraraka!" I beam. "Mei Hatsume! Class 1-H of the support course!" Mei says cheerfully.
"It is nice to meet you guys." he says respectfully. "Wanna join us for lunch, Iida?" I ask. "I couldn't possibly intrude like that." he says. "Nonsense. You don't have to. If you want to, you can join anytime." Hitoshi says. He nods and sits down next to me on my left.
"Even though I already ate, it would still be nice to join." he says. "Already? Man you must eat fast." I say while Izuku stuffs his face. "I've got classes with Mei next just so you know, eyebags, floaty." Izuku says. We both nod for Iida to speak up.
"But she is a support course student. And eyebags? Floaty?" he questions. "He calls me eyebags because of my 'gucci eyebags'." Shinso explains. "And I'm floaty because of my quirk." I explain. He nods slowly before turning to Mei. "Do you have a nickname from him?" Iida asks.
"I call her zoomy because her quirk is Zoom." Izuku answers for her. "What would his name be?" Shinso asks. "Off the top of my head, I'm thinking of glasses, sonic, sanic, blue, blueberry, robo legs, thomas the dank engine, zippy. But to get a better name, I'd probably have to get to know you better." he says, counting off different names.
"Of course, Id let you approve of the name. I came up with millions from them but overall, they liked Zoomy, Eyebags, and Floaty." he adds.
"I'm not going to question half of those names." Iida mutters. "Don't worry about it. By the way, you can call me Izuku instead of my family name." Izuku says while finishing his katsudon. I'm surprised it took him this long.
"My head is pounding." Izuku groans. "Why?" Iida asks. "I over used it." he explained. "But you barely used it today."
"I was training all morning which is why I was trying not to use it today. I didn't expect us to use our quirks on the first day." he says while smacking his forehead lightly on the table. Shinso reaches over and flicks him softly. "Slamming your head on the table isn't going to help idiot." Shinso scolds. "Whatever." he mumbles.
"What am I going to do with you?" Mei asks. "More like, what is Aizawa and Power Loader going to do with me." Izuku corrects.
"True." I chime in. "You weren't supposed to agree." Izuku whines. "What have I gotten myself into?" Iida asks.
"Welcome to the crackhead squad." Shinso says while finishing his ramen.
