Chapter Thirty-Four (Icy Thot)

"GOOOOO!!!"

Instantly I use my ice to freeze the area, however most of class 1-A and Hatsume avoided my attack.0 I use my ice to slide across it and gain first place. I see Mineta trying to throw some of his balls at me, but I just quickly freeze him in ice. I avoid the balls and start moving forward, only to be met with a bunch of robots from the entrance exam.

I then see a couple crash into each other. I look behind me to see Izuku using his telekinesis to make them crash like that. I freeze a couple more, allowing him to have a mini break.

{FLASHBACK TO IZUKU AND SHOTO'S TRAINING SESSION}

"You need to learn to analyze your opponent." Izuku comments while chucking a water bottle at me. I catch it and take a sip. "You have no clue what my quirk is and you don't take any caution towards that." he adds. "Well I thought we were doing no quirks." I point out. "I could have an intelligence quirk or a type of quirk that I can't shut off." he says. 

"True. Then what is it?" I question. "Telekinesis and Pyrokinesis." he said. "Although the pyrokinesis is called Dragon's Inferno." he adds. "So basically you are an air bender and a fire bender?" I ask. "YES!" he shouts. "Okay then." I said quietly. "Nobody ever gets me when I say that." he murmured. I rested a hand on the taller boy's floof and do  a smol pat pat.

"There there." I whisper.

{FLASHBACK BE GONE}

I may not know the full extent of his drawbacks, but from how he acts in class when he complains about them, they aren't fun. I want to be able to fight him at full power. I know that he will be able to make it to the finals with me so I'm not too worried.

I then see Hatsume, Iida, Shinso, and Uraraka, or the rest of the 'Deku Squad' as Bakugo puts it, is following Izuku. We then start charging forwards towards the next obstacle. The next obstacle is this huge canyon. There are wires like that are connecting from different pillars in the middle of the canyon. I start to slowly trek across them before using my ice to get across quicker. 

Once I'm on the other side, I spare a glance behind me to see Hatsume using one of her inventions to blast her way across. I then see Bakugo passing her quickly, coming in fast. I place down some ice and start sliding my way towards the next and hopefully last obstacle. 

The next obstacle was a mine field. A mine field! What are they trying to do? What if someone stepped on those. They go boom.

Hopefully Bakugo will step on hundreds of them.

One can only hope.

I mean, he's a bully to most of 1-A. It's what he does. Sure he may be strong, and somewhat smart, and kind of hot..

No. Race. I am doing a race and I can't worry about my enemy's abs. 

Abs?

I mean..

Uh.

No. Bad Shoto.

I carefully start making my way across the mine field, only to be interrupted by a loud boom boom boi. I see the explosive blonde go flying above me and damn! His bubble butt...

No.

Bad.

I use my ice to start making my way further until I hear a huge ass explosion. I look behind me to see Hatsume, Shinso, and Izuku go flying past me and Bakugo. Then Iida starts running past us, successfully passing us in our moment of confusion. I start making my way back towards them, even faster now. I pass the blue haired male, to see Uraraka on his back.

That's one way to make it. 

I pass the finish line for Mic to call out my place.

"AND TODOROKI COMES IN AT FOURTH PLACE!" he announces. I turn when I hear loud popping of familiar sounding explosions. "AND BAKUGO COMING IN AT FIFTH PLACE, FOLLOWED BY TENYA IIDA AND OCHACO URARAKA IN SIXTH AND SEVENTH PLACE!" he shouts. "THEN FOLLOWED MY NEITO MONOMA COMING IN EIGHTH PLACE!!" he shouts. I choose to tune him out as I walk over towards my little group.

"What happened?" I asked them.

"From the robots, I took a huge piece of their metal armor and chose to keep it. Then when we got to the mines, we dug up a bunch of mines and got on it successfully getting us to the finish line." Izuku explained. "Why didn't Iida and Uraraka jump on with you?" I asked.

"It wasn't big enough and they said that it was okay and let us go ahead." Shinso explained. I nod and we al walk away from the finish line to make more room for the incoming challengers.

"I wonder what the second trial is going to be." Uraraka said. "Alright! The 42 students who have passed the finish line have rightfully earned their spot for the next round. Don't worry for anyone who didn't make the cut as you all can still be noticed in the minigames being held later on!" Midnight announces.

"Now! For the second event, it is going to be a.. Calvary Battle! You will need to be in groups of 2-4 students. There will be a rider which will carry a head band on their head, stating how many points someone has." she says. Midnight then goes on to keep explaining the next event, until her final statement. 

"First place will be awarded 100,000 points!" she announces loudly. Everyone then looks at Izuku, giving him hungry, vicious looks.. I turn to him and give him a sympathetic look.

"Well shit." Izuku said quietly.
