Chapter 14

I was paired with the devil boy. To be sorry, he actually looked worn out. "Hey sweetheart" he begun, sheepishly.
I cut him off. "Okay Mark. You will listen and I will speak. Firstly, I am not your sweetheart, so don't call me that. Secondly, you do not like kids, I know but you will help me to take care of them. Thirdly, we are STILL frenemies."

Mark looked at me. "Okay Kenz. Look here aswell. FIRSTLY. I will call you what I want. SECONDLY. How do you know I don't like kids? I LOVE kids. And THIRDLY. When were we FRENEMIES??" I just ignore him and roll my eyes.

"OKAY listen up!!" Called Miss Grayling. "You and your partner will be assigned a house. You both will stay in it. Tomorrow, 8 sharp, meet me in the restaurant. Oh. And you and your partner will be sharing one room. NO FUNNY BUSINESS." She glared. "I will assign your house."

"Yeah Mark. No funny business." I managed to say. I can't believe this.

We were assigned House 284. I went in and my luggage was already in the closet. I went and unpacked. When I unpacked, I went to the kitchen to cook Mark and me some dinner. Mark went to unpack.

I made some pasta, and dinner was extremely silent. I felt uncomfortable. When I was done, I told Mark to wash the dishes. He gave me a curt nod and went to tidy up. I yawned.

I went up to 'our room' and showered and dressed in my PJ's.
*2 hrs later.*

I felt the bed dip beside me and smelt something minty. I popped open one eye lazily and saw Mark get in. I gritted my teeth and went back to sleep.

The next day, I awoke lazily. I checked my alarm clock. "SHIT!" I cried, seeing it was 7. "MARK MATT, GET YOUR LAZY ASS UP THIS INSTANT!!" I bellowed and ran into the shower.
