Chapter 21

I wake up to the sound of crying. Izzy was wailing and that woke Kevin up. Both began to cry. Mark took Kevin so to feed him milk while I took Izzy. She had also dirtied her diaper.

When I finished, every time I tried to put her in the crib, she would cry. I gave up and slept with her in my arms on the couch.

In the morning I woke up to the bell. I gasped and when I saw no Izzy in my arms, I was HORRIFIED to not see her.
I ran to the living room and smiled. Mark was treating them both. He smiled at me. "Hey, your ankles all better" he said.

I nod. "Why is the bell ringing?" I ask, worried. "No idea. Let's get to the ground." He says. I run up, do my hygiene and pull on a red crop top with purple jeans and running shoes. No way am I wearing heels.

I put my hair in a bun, grab my purse and 15 mins later we all are headed. There, we were the first to arrive.

I gasp and grab Marks hand. There, lies a tiny boy, eyes closed. Mark quickly picks up Izzy and takes Kev by the hand. I sit down next to the little boy in the grass and hold his hand.

"IS this YOUR boy??" Asks an extremely angry voice. It's Miss Grayling. "What? Oh no miss! My children are there!" I say, pointing to Mark. "Oh good" says Miss Grayling. "They look extremely happy, good job" she says.

She calls the emergency nurse, who checks his pulse. I hold my breath. The nurse gasps. "He-he's...." She trails away. "HE'S WHAT???" I cry. "He's gone. He's gone." The nurse starts to sob. Tears swim in my eyes as I get up and take Izzy. Then I hear a yell. "ETHAN!!! ETHAN!!"

A girl came running, pulling on her jacket as she did. "Have you seen- OH MI GOSH!!! ETHAN!!" The girl fell at the feet of the tiny boy 'Ethan'. "JANICA!! WHERE IS SCOTT???" Screams Grayling, pulling Janica up by her hair. She screamed. Scott came too.
"EXPLAIN YOURSELVES. WHAT WAS SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU LEFT YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED?"

Janica looks at her boots. "Me and Sc-Scott....w-we had sex....and in th-the mean time, Ethan r-ran away."

I was in shock. "Today's task will be postponed to tomorrow. Please meet at the cementary-ALL of you- in black clothes in 5 minutes. Then we will go to the elimination hall from there."

We all left and I was in the state of shock. Janica~Scott killed a child!!!
