Chapter 22

We all go back home and I run up to find black clothes for Kev, Izzy and me.
I find a black dress with black flats for Izzy, I get a black shirt with blue jeans for Kev. Then, after getting them ready, leaving Mark to feed them both, I run up to get ready.

I put on a black top with black jeans and black heels. I sigh. SO BLACK.

We leave and we're in the cementry. I see all the kids in colourful clothing and feel proud that mine are the only one in black.

We mourn and say a few kind words to Ethan. Then we leave for the elimination hall.

"Janica and Scott. You guys were so busy making love, you forgot to close door behind you. Ethan ran away and came to the park and saw lots of pretty berries. He ate all of them. ALL of them. He ate poisonous berries and died after half an hour. And he lay dead on the grass for another half an hour. This thus eliminates you."
Said Miss Grayling.

Janica and Scott left.
"I'm telling all of you. Being a parent is no real joke. Take care of your kids." She says and dismisses us.

At home, I made pasta for everyone even Izzy. We all ate in silence. Then I turned Izzy and Kev TV. There was nothing left to do anymore.
