Chapter 24: The Divide

Kate and Bucky walked along the great meadows of nature the grass on their paws made it feel like a soft warm blanket The birds were chirping behind them the wind brushed their fur as a swept of cool air made them filled with joy and wonder the Friends smelled the aroma of the world they walk on the smell of the nice pine scent that made traveling so much more the while Bucky decided to share some childhood stories with Kate to which Kate smiled one time my dad made purslane soup with these odd looking turnips my dad tasted it and the face he made looked like a Grover Kate laughed or one time when my dad took me fishing he got the fishing pole stuck in his tail we had to call Argo the alligator to come get it out Kate laughed your dad must have been quite the comedian Bucky sighed I just wish I could have saved him that day Kate looked at Bucky she felt sad for him I though he died from old age she said nah said Bucky he died because on this day he was caught in an avalanche on a trip to fishing i was setting a picnic for lunch but after I realized what had happened it was too late he was crushed under all those rocks, ice, and snow Bucky Kate said I'm so sorry she hugged him hoping it would make him feel better just then a voice could be heard Help! It cried Please Help! It said we're coming Kate said we're on our way said Bucky they saw the commotion a black panther was stuck in an avalanche Wolf cotton tail Help! He said Kate used an orb to stop the rocks from moving it stabilized the rocks from hitting the panther's skull Bucky used glass icicles to support Kate's attack the two with all their might tried pulling the panther out of the way but he was for sure stuck Bucky said Kate get me the biggest tree branch you can find and hurry Bucky nodded on it Bucky said Damn! Kate said as the orb was ready to vanish Bucky got The biggest tree branch and hopped high to get to Kate Kate Bucky said catch! Kate grabbed her paw into the air and caught the branch she used it to slide the branch under the rock and used it as a crowbar watching the rocks go to the top of the canyon the black panther got out and shook Kate's and Bucky's paw thank you so much you saved my life your welcome Kate said my name is kate and this is my soulmate Bucky nice to meet you both the panther said my name is Bone I must get back to the deck my son is practicing how to climb a tree thank you Bucky we did it Kate said and that we did said Bucky suddenly a mist blocked their view Kate Bucky said but soon enough when the fog diseapeared so did Bucky and all Kate could do is cry waiting for her dear buddy to return. Merith skyler said we've been walking forever he said well if you stop complaining it won't sound as long said Merith the friends walked and tried to have a conversation about their first trip to the zoo as kids Merith though well my first trip to the zoo was when a goat mistakenly thought my hair was food skyler laughed oh Merith that was gold he said mine was when my dad and mom took me to the zoo on my birthday a ram got out of the fence and started running after me with its big huge horns I broke my shoulder and my back that day haha Merith said that's worse than my story yeah well don't get to confident said skyler oh no Merith said look out  skyler ducked and a flock of vultures came over and started chasing them Gummy bear skyler said find anything to defend yourself with Merith got a old metal rod and started to swing it skyler did karate hitting his stronger hand on the vultures beak's as they hawked and cawed Merith threw dead branches at them as three left out of fear the leader and two other vultures still stood Merith picked up the crowbar and whacked it on the vultures head making the leader vulture run after the other flock with the Injured vulture hurray Merith said giving skyler a high five just then a fog had covered the young teenage couple and after the fog was gone so were they. Twinkle paw took a deep breath and kept walking it was almost night time and her powers would come in handy in case she had to defend herself she heard slight hissing in the background and looked behind her ahh she said her heavy breathing made the snakes move and slither faster they looked like western taipans three to be exact the first one was lime green with brown spots the second was yellow with burnt orange stripes and the final one was blue with purple scales they were in fact the most deadliest snakes in the world and twinkle paw had to fight them to survive she shot a star crystal at the first one its teeth crunched it like a freshly picked apple the second one dodged and came dashing at twinkle paw which made her flinch and move her spot the final one did not move and was cut in have by the star crystal a bear growl could be heard as Brunette came out and took out the two snakes with one attack he spit the snakes out his mouth letting the poison ooze into the lake twinkle paw hugged Brunette thanks you saved me anytime friend where you heading Brunette said back home evacuating the other villagers Unknown is coming and he could control queen Kate at anytime ooh that sounds Ergent better not do it alone she said twinkle paw smiled you are very welcome to join as the fog rolled in it swept Brunette away and with a blink of an eye he was gone Twinkle paw couldn't race after the fog as she headed past the golden road and headed into the castle determined to finish the mission she was given. Kate flooded in her tears Bucky still hasn't returned and Kate pondered on a rock a tear dropped on a bird and she could hear her thoughts I wish I knew where Bucky was the echo cried the fog began to appear and Kate too was swept up but not to her friends to a new realm with the sounds of quiet rustling as two ligh blue eyes amidst showing his true form he was a spirit guardian and to her it was clear she was in the spirit world and the question still remained what the fog did and where it took her beloved buddy Bucky
