The universe is an expanse of terrifying possibilities. It's full of uncertainty and it doesn't have a future set in stone. There is so much bad and terrible that can blanket across it. People get lost in all of this evil and become a part of it. They lose sight of what tomorrow could be and they fall down. They lose the very ground that they stand on, and they let the darkness take them. This does not mean that there is no hope. It is those who fight for their and everyone else's tomorrow that bring the good to the universe.
At least that's what I think. Oh, who am I? Well I technically haven't even been born yet. Look out into the blackness of space. Sound vanishes and leaves behind a quiet black forever night. Far off stars twinkle all around like dozens of multicolored gems in the light of a display case. Distant planets, that appear no larger than beach balls, drift onward through space. The light of a nearby star grazes across the tops of the planets and moons around it, touching each of them with its blinding white light. Most life forms on these planets will be born, fall in love, and die without seeing this breathtaking sight.
The white star shines its light around to warm the planets, giving them day and night. However if you were to look up out to the sky on any of these planets you would notice something. There used to be two stars.
This was in fact true but as of thirty seconds ago the star just seemed to shrink and curl into itself, yet there was no explosion nor sudden and forceful gravity. Instead there was a kind of warmth. Not from heat, but rather a feeling. Like meeting an old friend, a mother's smile, or looking up at the clouds to see how blue the sky is that day.
If you were to look deep into the empty space where the star once was you would see a white dot no larger than a blueberry. This dot began to slowly grow, then it rapidly multiplied in size til it burst into an explosion of color. Reds, blues, yellows, greens, purples, and all other colors imaginable erupted outwards like thousands of fireworks.
The lights subsided and what was left was an almost human figure with an aura of light around them. The figure limply hung their in space. Their entire body was very lacking in features. It had strong built yet thin and lean legs and arms with a chest that had a fine black vertical line leading down its torso. There was also two large fins leading off its shoulders that could only be described as shoulder pads. Yet their was one thing that stood out the most, it had no face.
The being appeared to have no expression. No mouth, nose, ears, or eyes. The being then began to gain consciousness and it's white face flickered to life with the addition of one facial feature. A shiny black V appeared across the entire front of it's head. This seemed to serve as its eye as it turned its head around and it would grow and shrink in shape, but still retaining it's original V shape.
The being did not know what it was or where it was, yet it did not seem to care. It hung there in space simply taking in its environment. Just then a voice both powerful yet gentle entered his mind and said but one word: "Peace." Just as the very last resonance of that word left, it felt a great and instantaneous blast of power push him backwards.
So they shot out like an arrow from a well strung bow. Backwards they flew across the empty space and until something came into view. A planet of various blues, greens, and whites was placed into view. This was what the being saw before losing consciousness and entering it's atmosphere in a blazing fire.
That night the people all around this world would talk of how a star fell from the heavens. Who is this being who was born of starlight in the heavens. This being is me. I think I forgot to introduce myself. Hi I'm Brite the universe's very own Peace Sign.
