Author's note: This chapter is going to be a little different. First things first, I want to thank everyone who has read my stories so far. I started writing three years ago after a traumatic experience in my workplace. I noticed that writing helped me escape and heal and thought it could do the same for others. I also thought that I could find people that like the same shows that I do. That is why I love reading your comments and am always open to new ideas. Your support means the world to me because I did not do this to get popular. I just saw that no one really wrote about things I wanted to read about so I decided to make the effort myself and fell in love with doing so.
Secondly, I am going to address the elephant in the room: racism. I am appalled by the words and actions of Dee Nguyen and will only be referring to her as DN from now until the end of the season. I want to make it known that I am an advocate for the Black Lives Matter movement and am anti-racist. I hate the fact the people in my country, even my family, think it is okay to still discriminate against people based on their skin color. I am not going to try and imagine the struggles people of color face everyday.
I understand the privilege I have in my life by being a white man but I always try to see the good in everyone. I hate that people cannot do something as simple as birdwatching, jogging, or eating skittles without being wrongfully targeted by the people who are supposed to protect us. I understand the hurt people are feeling and they have every right to deal with that anger in a healthy way. I do not like seeing the looting going on, but I understand that it was how America became the country it is today.
I ask you all to listen to these people when they speak up, not diminish their value. Their voices are meant to be heard and until they are, our country will not be the great country we claim. To anyone who has a problem with me standing up for the Black Lives Matter and Anti-Racism Movement, you can stop reading. When I started writing on this website, I wanted to write about things I did not see on here and would want to see on here and in the world. Respect for each other is something that should be common sense, but because of our President, common sense has become uncommon sense.
I want to say that my posting is going to be different from this point forward. I will be posting the earliest on the Friday after the most recent episode airs. I want to enjoy what I am writing and rushing it to make people happy is not making me happy with the quality of my work. I encourage you all to point out mistakes I make, but also remember to be positive and constructive in your critiques. Behind this screen is a person who wants to be accepted and loved for who they are and what they do. I love you all and let's continue into The Challenge: Total Madness!
Brett's POV
We get back from Wes' elimination and I could not be more excited! I just knocked out another Challenge legend and I revealed to the entire house my true identity. I know this was the right time to do so because it is time to do what I came here to do: play the villain and win this game. During the elimination, I found it really funny that the only people who were cheering for me were Melissa, Kyle, Kaycee, Jenny, Fessy, Cory, and Rogan. I decided to disband the Uprising before the elimination because Josh, Bayleigh, and Swaggy were not getting along and I realized it would not be a good thing to thing for my game to move forward with them.
As we walk into the bunker, I am pulled into a room with Mattie, DN, Bayleigh, Swaggy and Nany. I do not like the vibe I am feeling in the room because they all seem like they want to hurt me for what I did to them and Wes. I am fully prepared for this smackdown and just hope they can handle the smoke I am giving them if they attack me.
Syn: Hi ladies, Swayleigh. How are we doing tonight?
Mattie: Why didn't you tell us who you really were?
