It was the first time that I wasn't all unhappy after accidentally bumping into someone (literally, that is).

Chris was stunningly handsome. His suit gave him that look of being dressed to kill, and he had the gentleman attractiveness with him (he still does). He smiled, and after our apologies, we introduced ourselves.

"I'm Chris."

"I'm Bryce. So good to meet you."

"Oh yeah, uh.. I heard that you were cast in Jurassic World?" he asked, expectantly.

"Yes."

"Congratulations," he shook my hand in a handshake.

"Thank you."

Just then my dad arrived.

"Hello Mr. Howard!" Chris exclaimed, and he and Dad had a hug.

"I see you've met my daughter Bryce," he said. Chris was gleaming.

Dad took a picture of us together. But when I felt Chris's hand on my shoulder, I felt different for some reason.

"Why don't you sit with me and my wife?" he offered.

"Sure," I replied.

Chris's POV

I led them to the table. I saw my wife, and kissed her on the cheek.

"This is Anna, my wife. Anna, this is Bryce." I said.

"Hello Anna," she said.

"Hello Bryce. Wonderful to meet the leading star of Jurassic World," she said with a laugh.

"Thanks," she said with a laugh as well.

Anna then turned to me. "Chris, I'm just going to the washroom."

"Okay."

She left, and me and Bryce started conversing.

"So uh.. do you have kids?" I asked, hoping that I didn't sound awkward.

"Yeah. My daughter Beatrice and son Theodore," she replied. Thank God she didn't think it was awkward. "What about you?"

"Yeah, I have a son, Jack," I said.

We had an interesting exchange, getting to know each other well. We handed each other our phone numbers to keep in contact as well.

But just as we were talking, Bryce's eyes shifted for a second and stopped. There was a man in a black suit, with a lady beside him. Her eyes made me think whether she'd seen a ghost.

"Bryce, are you, okay?"

She didn't answer immediately. She turned to me.

"I have to go. It was nice meeting you Chris."

She and her dad left, but I was concerned about what happened.

But as Anna came, I couldn't stop thinking about this friendly first meeting of ours.
