I am Bryce Dallas Howard. Wife of Seth Gabel, eldest daughter of director Ron Howard, mother to two adorable kids, Beatrice and Theodore.

It was 12:30 in the afternoon. was getting ready for a call from director Colin Trevorrow for the film Jurassic World. I am a big fan of the series. I remember seeing Jurassic Park in '93 as a child, and that was an incredible experience.

But before I got ready for the call, I had to do a small thing.

Seth was leaving home for some work, but he gave me a pep talk.

"Look honey, you're gonna do great, alright? I'm sure he'll give you the role."

His encouraging words had the desired effect.

"Thanks. Well, I'll just get to the call," I said.

"Oh yeah. Tell me how it goes, okay?" he asked.

I smiled, "Yeah," and kissed him. He left, and I got ready.

The call connected, and I and Colin exchanged good mornings.

"Good morning Bryce," he greeted.

"Good morning Mr. Trevorrow," I replied.

"You can call me Colin," he said. I just chuckled in reply.

Colin then told me the main plot of the film. The park is working on a genetic hybrid, and Claire Dearing is the Park Operations Manager. Her nephews, Zach and Gray, come to visit.

For their new dinosaur, Claire is asked to approach the raptor trainer named Owen Grady, who also shares a small history with her. However, as with the first film, the dinosaur escapes, and the island is badly damaged.

At the end of the 2-hour long call, we say our greetings.

"Well, thanks a lot Bryce," he said.

"Thanks a lot as well Colin," I say. The call ends.

I had one thing in mind from the call. Colin had told me that he had been working on to cast Chris Pratt in the film.

I had seen Chris in 2009's Parks and Recreation. Since then, I am a fan of his. He was cast in a Marvel film in 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy. I didn't see it though.

After the call, I felt tired. I just messaged Seth:

Hey honey, I got over with the call, just getting some sleep. Love you.

He replied soon after. I love how much he cares.

Okay, sleep well. Love you too.

And I fell to sleep. I woke up at around 5, satisfied with 2 and a half hours of sleep. There were no missed calls, no new messages. I sighed and went down to have a little something.
