This is the first entire chapter written in Chris's POV. Enjoy!

I saw Bryce. My heart seemed to flutter. Ever since she had abruptly left that night seeing that man, I thought about her, whether she was okay or not, and, what can I say? I'm a gentleman. Gentlemen are.. well, gentle.

I remember waking up in the morning at around 8:40. I was just going about the breakfast stuff, when I found a trending tweet. Me and.. Bryce?

That grabbed my attention. I got glued to it, and even more so when it read that Mr. Howard himself had tweeted it. But below, I saw a caption, "Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, the co-stars of Jurassic World!" with some smile emojis.

I couldn't react. Then my thoughts shifted to how sorry Bryce would be. I mean, she wouldn't have possibly done this, and while the deal wasn't closed yet, her father was happy, and I wasn't unhappy with that.

I remembered the coffee meeting we had decided upon. Via chatting alright, but nonetheless. At 12, I reached Starbucks. I went up to the counter, and thinking that maybe Bryce would have reserved the table with her name (since I hadn't), kept that in my mind.

"A reservation, sir?"

"Yes, uh.. Bryce, Bryce Dallas Howard?"

"Oh yes, you've arrived first. Just that table."

"Thank you."

I left, and sat down at the table. I saw my watch. It read 12:05.

5 minutes past, Bryce finally arrived.

"Hey Chris!"

"Hi Bryce!"

"I'm sorry, there was a lot of traffic on the way."

"No worries," I said with a chuckle. She chuckled as well.

We hugged briefly, and sat down. We gave our orders, and soon shifted to the elephant in the room.

"Uh.. I wanted to tell you something," she nervously began.

"Yeah?"

"I'm.. I'm so sorry for what happened. My dad just told it to me this morning. I had no idea that he'd do this.."

I was moved by the pain and sorrow in her voice. Clearly, there was something else troubling her.

"Hey.. it's totally fine. Your dad was happy when he tweeted this, and I could see that. Plus.."

I stopped. She waited for me to speak.

"I am officially in. Mr. Trevorrow called me up at 11, and confirmed that I am in."

She seemed surprised. (Of course, if I was her, I would be).

"That's great! Congrats!"

"Thanks. So, we have the reading this Friday.. if I'm not wrong.."

"That's right."

"Oh good. I get to spend a Thursday before script reading on Friday... cool."

We had a laugh, and soon at around 1, we went out.

"Thanks for this Chris."

"Totally.." and that's when my eyes caught the sight of a band-aid on her hand.

"Hey.." I said, pointing to that wound of hers, "what happened?"

"Oh, I just cut my hand on a piece of glass. Nothing much, just a little cut," she replied.

I wasn't totally convinced, mainly because I was still concerned. However, I decided to drop it.

"Well, see you on Friday Bryce," I said.

"Yeah, bye Chris," she replied, and off we went home.
