Chapter 10

"Hey, d'you guys wanna go to the park after school? It's right next to my house so I can get my make-up done and meet you there."

"I mean, sure. I wouldn't mind. Rem? What about you?" Remus's mouth was too full of food for him to speak but he nodded his head enthusiastically.

Across the dinner hall but at the same moment

"Hey, where d'you guys wanna go after school?" Patton asked cheerfully.

"It's 'do you' and 'want to', love." Logan said. "I would not mind an outing to the park. What abut you, Roman?"

"Park sounds great." Roman said, beaming and looking away from Virgil for a split second.

"It's decided then. Park it is."

"Okay, what is it Virgil?"

"What is what?" Virgil asked although he already thought he knew where this was going. "Why were you blushing so much this morning? It definitely wasn't the heat or the cold or seeing you without make-up so," Remus suddenly gave a huge gasp "who've you got a crush on?"

"What?!" Virgil squawked "I-I do not have a crush on anyone."

"You so do! Who is it?" Janus rolled his eyes at his boyfriend's childish behaviour. "Rem, he doesn't have to tell us."

"He so does! C'mon Virge. Tell us! Please?"

Virgil rolled his eyes. "Fine. I may have a small crush on this one guy." Remus laughed "Small my ass. You were blushing like a love-struck idiot. Who is it? What's his name?"

"I won't be telling you that!"

"You have to! It's the rules! Once you have revealed the fact that you have a crush, you must tell us who that person is!"

"Rem, you made that up. When you told me you had a crush on someone and I asked you who it was, you wouldn't tell me."

"Yeah but that's because you were that crush. I wasn't going to just-"

"Virgil doesn't have to do anything that he doesn't want to." Janus said firmly, smiling kindly at Virgil who smiled back slightly. Remus sighed dramatically "Well, we're just going to have to do it the old fashioned way. Is your crush Jack?" Virgil shook his head "Mike?"

"No."

"Terrence?"

"No."

"Alex?"

"God no!" Remus kept asking and Virgil kept shaking his head. "Is it Roman?" Virgil's breath caught in his throat but he shook his head. "Well then who is it?!" Virgil smiled and laughed. "Why would I tell you?" Remus rolled his eyes.

"You're no fun." He mumbled, slumping back down on the bench. Virgil laughed again and checked his watch. "Shit! Mum wanted me home by 7. I gotta go guys. Bye." Virgil ran off in the direction of his house.

"Careful, Hot Topic. That'd be the second time you'd run into me." Roman said, stopping a panicked Virgil from falling over his shoelaces. "Thanks Princey now get off of me."

"What if I said no Hot Topic?"

"Please! I need to get home in under 3 minutes and my house is 5 minutes away! So get away from me!" Virgil said, throwing Roman to the ground and running off. Roman sat on the ground for a second, stunned, before smiling and getting up. "Hot Topic sure is weird." He thought before walking over to the park.
