Maryam's pov
The drive home was so long with me just thinking and looking out the window. Latif won't shut up about how much fun he had and it made me more annoyed and I just want the car to fly so I can get home and take this make up off my face and retire for the night. So many things happened tonight. I thought Saihou and I had a little connection but apparently am wrong. Fucking douchebag.

We got home and I took off my makeup, undressed and wore my cotton shorts and an oversize t-shirt. I am on bed watching a rerun of 'friends ' on Netflix I keep binge watching that show all the time and I never get tired of it. I saw a whatsapp video call from Saihou and I'm so tempted to pick up the call and just tell him off but instead I just settled with ignoring the call and continued watching my show. The calls persisted and I had no other choice but to answer. His face just popped up occupying my whole screen, he smiled that devilishly cute smile and like the fool I forgot all about what happened. We spoke for almost an hour about almost everything except what happened tonight. I didn't want to bring it up because I didn't want to ruin this little happy moment.
"I have a show to watch" I told him looking at him. Video calls are so weirdly fun
"Yeah okay but do you want to grab some ice cream and hang out at the beach tomorrow, maybe?" he asked
"One thing I'm not going to say no to is free food and a day at the beach" I accepted, yes I have come to the conclusion that I am a fool and that is that
"So it's a date then?" he asked
"No its not, it's just free food okay" I said between laughs
"Well I guess I'm bringing someone else then, see you at 3" he says and hangs up
What the fuck thou.

I couldn't finish the movie so I just turned it off and went to bed. The next morning was thankfully a weekend so I slept till 10. I woke up and just decided to stay on bed for sometime just scrolling through twitter laughing and cringing at people's post. I went to the living and found my dad and Latif eating breakfast.
"Thanks dad for not calling me for breakfast" I said sarcastically to my dad and sat down
"Didn't want to wake you" my dad says
"You eat a lot so we wanted to eat before you got up" Latif says
"Bad luck then Latty" I say to him
"Dad tell her not to call me that" he complains to my dad I know he hates that name that's the more reason I called him that.
"Are you okay, you seemed a little off last night" my dad asked
"I was just tired" I lied to him
"Maryam is that boy your boyfriend? " Latif asks
"It's none of your business Latty" I told him
"Is he?" my dad asks too
"Ugh dad please" my dad just likes to know everything.
I sat down and poured myself cereal and milk and ate my breakfast while we continued bickering

I just lazied around the house anticipating what's going to happen later I'm a little nervous I can't lie. I took a long cold shower and got dresses in my dark denim boyfriend jeans and white crop top, got my wig on and my slides and sunglasses. I can't bother myself with makeup but I look good. I sent a quick text to Saihou asking him to come get me he didn't reply but I heard car horns and I went out of my room to tell my dad that Im going to Muhammed's house. I don't know why I lied because he will let me out anyways but I just had to complicate things by lying to him for the second time today.

I got approached the car expecting to see Teeda but she was not in the car so it was just me and Saihou with Roddy Ricch blasting in the car
"Hey, where is Teeda?"I asked its not like I want her here but I just asked
"We will probably meet her there she lives at Kololi now" Saihou says
"Okay" I say but im wishing she doesn't come
The drive to icey wonderland is so much fun with us just singing along. This is what I like.

Saihou's Pov
Maryam sent me a text while I was already on my way to her house so I didn't reply when I got to her house I just horn and a few minutes later she came out in jeans and a crop top with slides and sunglasses looking as cute as ever with no make up at all. She got in the car and we made small talk and I blasted Roddy Ricch's Project Dreams in my car I like that we have the same music taste and she is comfortable with me. Last night Maryam meet Teeda but they didn't get to hit it off because I didn't see her in awhile so we had a lot of catching up to do. Teeda is really close to me we basically did our childhood together but we went to different schools so we drifted apart for a bit but it feels like we spend everyday together. I like how free she is and her confidence is on another level. She tells me, she will use what she has that is her body to get what she wants and I like her confidence. I think Maryam will like her since she doesn't seem to get any friends.

We went to Icey Wonderland around Kololi got our ice creams and we went to the beach. I don't get why Maryam is excluding herself and not saying anything. She totally switched up from how she was in the car.
"Saihou told me you are his trouble" Teeda tries to strike a conversation with Maryam
"I'm not his trouble" Maryam say without even smiling or looking up from her phone well now I know why she doesn't have any friends.
"You should be he deserves it" Teeda says again but this time she looks up and stares at her without saying a word. She really is wierd and she made the entire day awkward.

We got to the beach and sat on the sun bed I wanted to share with Maryam but instead she sat opposite from me, and Teeda sat beside me. Teeda and I made all of the conversation while Maryam just sat there until I saw Iss coming with Amadou our team mate. I don't know what they are doing here because I don't remember inviting them I only told Iss I was coming here such a dumpass. The boys came and greeted everyone and Amadou being the flirt that he is sat beside Maryam.
"Whats your name?"
"Maryam and you?" Maryam is talking to him and smiling the same energy I wanted her to give me.
"How is your dad" I attempted get her attention but she only turned and said
"Fine" and continued her conversation with Amadou like they are the only two people here and they have known each other for ages

Amadou just continued making lame jokes and Maryam just kept laughing likes it's not even that funny.
"Do you like fruit juice?" Amadou ask Maryam
"Yeah of course who doesn't" Maryam answers smiling
"There is a place not far from here where they sell fruit juice, let's go there" what the actual fuck is going on here
"Yeah okay" Maryam agrees and I am so pissed
"I want some too" I butt in because they are not leaving without me
"We can't all go" Maryam says to me.
"It's either we all go or no one goes!" that came out a little sharper than I intended but I don't care
"Do you really think I give a fuck about what you say because if you do you are wrong. Amadou let's go" Maryam says and Amadou being the little bitch that he is got up to go with her and I got so mad that I know whatever I say next am going to regret it but I didn't think about that
"Yeah go with him because that is what you always do follow boys around" I blurrted out and regret it almost instantly. She just picked up her sunglasses looking at me like I am the worst person in the whole world. I'm suck a fuck up
"Not cool, you shouldn't have said that to her" Amadou says and looks at me with so much spite in his eyes and I can already sense I kickoff.
"So what are you going to do about it" I said standing directly at his face.
"Do you guys think you are in a bollywood movie or something." Iss says
