~Miku's POV~

I had to walk home from the Utau cottage, something I'm not used to doing. I'm used to having people escort me everywhere, and I have to admit it was sorta lonely. With nobody to talk to, I was left with my thoughts, which was terrifying.

Teto had people who loved her, and one reason for that was because she loved them back. Was there anyone that I really, truly loved? You only love yourself, said my conscience.

That couldn't be true. I loved my fans, the paparazzi! And while I could get along better with my own family, if I could even call them that, I had Len. The guy I was dating, according to the press. No. He's your real boyfriend, who you really love. He is.

I told that to myself over and over again, pushing any part of my mind that said otherwise deep down. He loves me and I love him. I do. Len would be worried about me, Len cared about me. Len would do anything for me, and right then, that's what I needed the most.

I tried to slip into the house as discreetly as possible, hoping nobody noticed my dirty and torn appearance. I went straight up to Len's room and opened the door, not even bothering to knock. He was sitting on his bed, reading a book. "Leeeeeeeen!" I whined, throwing myself on the bed.

I slithered up to him, resting my chin on top of his book. He looked up at me, confused. "Miku? What happened to you?"

I pouted. "I went out to the park, and some mean lil' kids got me all scuffed up! They made fun of my sleeves! But... you'll help me clean up, right?"

He glanced up at the clock nervously, then gulped. "I'm really sorry, Miku, but Rin is about to record a new song, and I promised I would go down there with her."

Ugh. Rin. If there was one person I didn't like one single bit, it was her. "Rin records songs all the time," I said, leaning in close enough that he could feel my breath. "I need you right now."

He turned red and backed away. "I promised her I would be there," he insisted, staring at the ground. "I need to get going."

"Wait!" I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back, running my hands through his hair. "Please don't go?"

Len sighed and walked away, opening the door. "Next time, okay?"

I huffed.

I was brushing through my hair (alone, I might add) feeling very sorry for myself. I got out of the shower just a minute before, feeling completely bitter.

Len cared about his sister. Kaito cared about Meiko. And Luka...

I really didn't like Luka. She hadn't listened to me from the moment she got here. She wasn't like any of the other Vocaloids. Luka did what she wanted, when she wanted.

Speaking of that devil, she walked into my room now, opening the door without hesitation. "You're supposed to knock first," I growled. "What do you want?"

Luka leaned against the door. "The producers want to talk to us."

"About what?" I asked, annoyed.

She turned to walk out. "How am I supposed to know? If anything, they'd tell you first."

"Alright, what are we doing?" I plopped down in a chair, glaring at Len across the table. He avoided my gaze.

Meiko sighed and eased into a chair next to me. "I've still got to go to the store today, we ran out of ice cream and Kaito is not happy."

Kaito sat next to her, and he indeed was not happy.

Don, that producer who was in love with the head Utau lady, sat at the end of the table. "This shouldn't take too long, Meiko. You'll have plenty of time to go to the store.
