3rd Person POV:

Y/N, Merlin, and Gwen knew something was wrong with the knights. They knew Lamia had something to do with it. They just didn't know how.

Of course, Gwen was confused as to why Y/N wasn't effected, seeing as she was posing as 'Sir Galahad' and only Merlin, Gwaine, and Lancelot knew. Or had known in Lancelot's case.

The knights were particularly rude to Merlin and
Y/N.

Still, they entered the castle, Merlin gripping Y/N's hand tightly, Gwen's hand squeezing Y/N's shoulder. A gust of wind and their torches went out. Merlin quietly muttered a spell that reignited his, then relit Percival and Leon's.

Lamia was nowhere to be found.

"We have to find Lamia," Leon announced

"If Elyan doesn't get somewhere warm soon, he won't make it." Gwen argued with a quivering voice

"We'll find a safe place for you, Elyan, and Merlin to stay in. Gwaine will watch over you, Percival and I will look for Lamia." Leon replied

"Uh, hello? I exist too!" Y/N replied in response to not being mentioned

"Unfortunately so." Gwaine said

Y/N grabbed the front of Gwaine's chainmail and pushed him into the wall.

"I can make you not exist, Gwaine."Y/N growled

Merlin grabbed her shoulders and pulled her off him.

"Just stay with them, Galahad." Leon groaned, "Percival and I certainly don't have time to babysit you."

Y/N's heart sunk. Babysit her? What if that was something they thought when they weren't under the Lamia's spell? What if they truly didn't have time for her?

Merlin dragged Y/N away from the Lamia. It chased them, leaving their friends behind. The friends Y/N had begun to seriously doubt. The Lamia caught hold of her ankle so she released Merlins hand.

"Keep going! I'll be fine!" Y/N shouted

Merlin continued running. Which solidified Y/N's idea that none of them really cared for her. Sure, she had told him to continue, but wouldn't a real friend stop and help?

The Lamia continued down the hallway after Merlin, dragging a struggling Y/N behind it. She couldn't see what was happening in front of the Lamia, but she did see when Arthur and the other Knights of Camelot entered.

She watched as Arthur threw his sword, killing the Lamia. The Lamia's body fell on top of Y/N. Meanwhile, Arthur focused on Gwen and Merlin.

"Hello? Person trapped under monster corpse!" Y/N called annoyedly

The Knights hurriedly got the body off of her and helped her. Having to carry her because the weight of the Lamia had messed up her knee in a way.

~Time Skip~

She was still laid down on her cot when the others woke up. Arthur has just checked on them and left. The others made conversation with each other while Y/N remained silent.

Once they were each strong enough to make the journey back to Camelot. They did so. Y/N remained quiet, dwelling with her thoughts for most of the trip. Only chipping in small answers from time to time when asked a question.

Once arrived back in Camelot, Y/N returned directly to her chambers. Rather than traveling with Merlin to the market as was usual. Catching the attention of the Knights of the Round Table and Merlin himself.

The others got quite concerned when she didn't turn up for dinner that evening. Arthur sent Merlin to check on her.

Merlin knocked politely on the door to her chambers. When there was no response he entered, only to find it barren. The wardrobe was open and empty. On the bed post there was a piece of paper tacked to it with a dagger.

Merlin read the paper his heart sinking lower and lower. It read:

Dear Knights and Camelot,
I apologize, for I have failed you. A knight is to serve with honor and chivalry. Of which both I have failed to possess. Over my time as a knight I made friendships I thought would last a lifetime. Unfortunately, a lifetime seems to have been three years at most.

So, here is where I reveal many a secret I held. Firstly,  my name be not Galahad. It was an alias I used whilst searching for my brother. My name is actually Y/N, and my brother whom I found long ago was Lancelot. Secondly, there were exactly three people who knew of my alternate identity: Merlin, Gwaine, and Lancelot. Finally, while you knights may not remember what you had said to me, I had wondered if perhaps the Lamia's spell was much like intoxication. Where your thoughts were only coming out. So, I shall reveal why I am leaving. With direct quotes of what was said to me.

"Percival and I certainly don't have time to babysit you." Said by Sir Leon

"Unfortunately so." As replied to my statement of me existing by Sir Gwaine

And many other behaviors in months past that have made me doubt myself.

Goodbye, my dear friends. For I shall possibly never see you again. Not for reasons of death, but for reasons of emotional pain.

Love,
Y/N

Merlin took the knife out, setting it on the bedside table. Then took off toward the dining hall to show Arthur the note.

Gwaine and Arthur stood worriedly when Merlin reentered. His face was tear stained not to his knowledge. He held the note out to Arthur, who read over the note what seemed to be multiple times.

"Quiet!" Arthur yelled, "This is the note Sir Galahad has left, listen carefully.

Arthur finished reading, tears pricking just eyes.

"Gather our men, we have to find her." Arthur announced

The men nodded solemnly. Merlin tacked his brain to think of where she might have gone.

"Let us find our friend!" Arthur shouted
