As I walked inside the rink, I kept thinking about what I would be telling Scar. How would I tell her?
As I reached the rink, I could see people gathered around there, and I am sure it was for her fight. I could hear punches being thrown so I rushed to the front. A gasp left my mouth as I saw the rink.
Scar had blood trickling down her forehead. And she didn't have her mouthguard. Why didn't she have her mouthguard? I looked on the other side and saw Tryon, his knuckles shining. Brass. What the fuck was happening?
"Why does he have knuckles on? It's not allowed?" I asked one of the guys who looked familiar. "She agreed to fight bare against anything. If she wins, she gets 15k" The guys told.
What the actual fuck? She didn't tell that to us. How could she risk so much? I saw her throwing a punch and Tyron was thrown back. She did train well.
Suddenly her eyes met mine and she smirked. Something tells me she has things under control and I felt myself relax a bit. It was visible that Tyron was equally hurt.
One punch, two punch, and kick on the ribs. I have never seen her this into a fight. There was blood dripping from her knuckled and she had bruises forming on her body.
What happened next, was probably something no one expected. Scar took two punches but then as Tyron held back, she threw a kick on his knee and twisted his backward. He immediately fell down groaning.
She bent down and punched his face. Everyone went quiet, only groaning and heavy breathing was audible. After a while, the body below her stopped moving.
I stood and walked towards me. She had a wide smile on her face. A smile on victory. Soon everyone began to cheer. Her head was bleeding, her lip busted, knuckles busted and probably a 100 bruises and a concussion, but she was smiling like she had won the world.
I couldn't be more proud of her, but right now I had to get her to the hospital. As she came towards me, I pulled her to me and hugged her.
"I did it, Jack, I won," She said still breathing heavily. "I know baby, I know," I say pulling away.
She looked at me, at my face, as though searching for something. "What is it?" She asked concerned. "Ace..Ace is in the hospital" I stuttered and saw the color leave her face.
"Ace what? Why didn't you tell me? We need to go now" She said pulling me towards the exit. As we were about to leave a guy handed her a bundle of cash. I could see her limping.
"Scar, slow down. You are hurt" I said pulling her hand. "Don't tell me to slow down. Is he okay? Why the fuck didn't you say anything?" She yelled at me.
That's it. I snapped. "You listen to me. He is there at the hospital getting treated. And you were here fighting, if we told you, would you be able to take Tyron down? Would you Scar? And now you are running even though you are hurt. You are freaking hurt Scar, god you are fucking bleeding. Can you just calm down, Ace is going to be fine" I shouted at her.
As soon as I finished her eyes were filled. I instantly regretted snapping at her. "Shit baby, I am so sorry. I am just worried okay. I didn't mean to shout at you," I say pulling her into a hug. She held me tightly.
"It's okay. I am sorry, I shouldn't have worried you." She said. I kissed her head, holding her. "Let me carry you to the car and then we can get you cleaned up and checked at the hospital okay," I say and she nods.
I carried her to the car and rushed to the hospital. I hope she isn't hurt badly. She held on to my arm throughout the drive.
As we reached the hospital, I was mum and Mike sitting outside Ace's room. As soon as they saw us, I heard mum gasp. Mike came and hugged Scar.
