I’m not passive, but aggressive
Take note, it’s not impressive
Empty your sadness
Like you’re dumping your purse on my bedroom floor
We put your curse in reverse
- The Kid's Aren't Alright; Fall Out Boy
Chapter Fifteen:
I wasn't sure which I preferred to be honest: The prison cell or the asylum cell that I am currently stuck in. Which I will mostly be in for quite a while, I was located on the top floor - it was where they kept most of the dangerous inn-mates. It was a white room; with a white bed; white floor; white ceiling; white walls. Everything was plain, there wasn't an ounce of colour anywhere, not even my soul was colourful anymore; It was as black as the night's sky, probably even darker.
I hadn't heard or even seen the demon since last night, he just seemed to disappear but I knew that he would come back. He always does.
I just hoped he did come back, as strange as it sounded he was my only source of sanity right now. He made me feel as if I wasn't crazy. But I was crazy; with the demon there it masked my craziness and lulled me into a false sense of security.
Jay was the same, I always felt normal with him he was my blanket of security that I would have wrapped around me when he was near me. And now he's not nor is the demon; this was the least secure I have ever felt and I detested it. It made me feel nauseous and I just felt so empty and so.. so lost.
The sound of bolts and rattling keys broke me out of my thoughts. Someone was outside the door, it was most likely one of the staff bringing me breakfast. Apparently I was too 'dangerous' to go to the dining room so they had to bring it to me. I wasn't even sure if I was even allowed visitors even if I was I highly doubted anyone would visit me, I don't think Jay would even visit me but to be honest I don't blame him.
"Breakfast for you, Mr. Sykes." The screechy voice of one of the staff said as she placed the bowl and cup nowhere remotely close to me.
"What is it?" I asked, my voice scratchy from the lack of drink that I've had lately.
"Porridge and Orange Juice." Came the screechy voice again and just like that, she was gone the sound of the door being slammed shut echoing around the room behind her.
I cringed at how watery the porridge looked but forced myself to try and eat some of it. After a couple of mouth fulls I had to give up, it was making me want to vomit so instead I decided to try the juice which wasn't so bad. Judging by how bad the food was I would have assumed that the drinks would have been just as bad.
Just as soon as I had put my cup down the same woman with the screechy voice and red curly hair came in and took away my bowl and cup, mumbling about coming in later with my dinner, then she was gone again.
I sighed, retreating back to the bed that I wasn't looking forward to staying in at all. Climbing into the bed, I pulled the covers back over me and closed my eyes, immediately falling asleep. Which was a first for me.

I awoke a couple of hours later, feeling really groggy and as if I had just been hit by a thousand buses. Just like last night I didn't have a single nightmare. It was strange but I didn't question it; I was more afraid of the answer than my nightmares now.
Moments later the turning of the locks filled the room, I was expecting the same woman as before with my dinner but it wasn't; it was a man in his early thirties with a beard and brown hair. I would have thought he was hot if I wasn't with Jay.
"You have a visitor, Mr. Sykes." The guy spoke with a tea-and-toast type of accent. "Come with me, I'll take you to him." He smiled but I was pretty sure it was forced, I wouldn't like to spend any time with someone who was a phsycopath like me.
As I stood up and him and eight other people crowded round me to take me to, where I was guessing, the visiting room it just sank in that I had a visitor.
A visitor.
And It was a he.
My mind started to race with who it could be but I came to a blank. I didn't even think anyone would want to visit me but someone was here and it completely astounded me.
When I walked into the room, I recognised who it was by the back of his head and I wasn't sure if I should smile or cry. There was a glass window between us and I was pretty sure it was double glazed, probably to protect him. There was a single chair in the middle of the room that I was stood in but I didn't want to sit, I wanted to stand and press myself against the glass and indulge the image of him into my brain.
"You have twenty minutes." The man that had led me here informed the both of us through a microphone that was on the small table in my room, there was also another microphone in Jay's room which I guessed that we had to talk through.
"Jay!" I let a small face appear on my face. "You're here, you are really here!"
Jay wasn't smiling, however. There wasn't a single sign on his face, he was just blank.
And so was his voice, "Yes Nath, I am."
