I'm just a problem that doesn't want to be solved
So could you please hold your applause
Take this sideshow and all its freaks
And turn it into the silver screen dream

Chapter Twenty One:
I wasn't sure where home was anymore, my parent's house used to be my home for the first sixteen years of my life until I was kicked out, this house was my home until I got sent to the asylum and that started to become my home. I suppose Jay was my home now, he was so comforting, so warm, so safe; he had all the qualities in which a home should have.
Since that encounter with Tom two hours ago me and Jay have been in hinding in our bedroom. We only left when we needed too and we haven't dared to go anywhere near downstairs yet.
"Has he been like this since i've left?" I asked.
"Pretty much." Jay shrugged. "Him and Max have been on my case about it all since you... left."
"I'm sorry."
Jay turned to face me from where he was sat next to me on the bed and kissed my forehead. "It's not your fault, Nathan."
I shook my head. "No, it is my fault - I killed those people and I caused us all to fall out."
Jay sighed, kissing my head he mumbled something about it not being my fault and that I shouldn't blame myself. I ignored him though, he was only trying to make me feel better, he knew that it was truly my thought but I guess he was just too polite to say it.
"Where are the other lads?" I then questioned.
"I don't know, they were here when I left to pick you up I guess, they must have left whilst we were out." Jay shrugged as if it was nothing.
"Yeah, they probably didn't want to see me." I scoffed.
"That's not true!"
I sighed. "Whatever."
* * *
"Are you ready for our usual game, young one?" The demon's voice seemed to echo around the whole of the black abyss I was once again stood in as well as echoing throughout my veins; my brain; my whole body. His voice was just everywhere - it was impossible to escape from.
No.
"Now, now be nice Nathan." The demon chuckled. "I can read your thoughts, y'know? I know how excited you really are, or you will be once we star playing."
Great, could I ever escape from him?
"Okay, here goes: What can travel around the world while staying in a corner?"
I chewed on my lip as I mulled it over, as the answer came to me - as usual - I spoke in a bored tone as I answered him: "A stamp."
"What gets broken without being held?"
"A promise."
The bored tone continued on as the demon continued on with the riddles, most of them were easy or ones that I've heard before so I knew the answer already.
"Well done, young one." The demon spoke from the corner of the room, if you could even call it that, where he always stood when I would see him in my nightmares. "Now, are you ready for your next task? It's been a while hasn't it?"
I nodded, "Yes, it has been a while."
"Now the next person you have to kill is, Tom Parker. You have a week, have fun, Nathan."

I apologise for how short and shitty this chapter was :/ It's embarrassing how terrible this chapter was, I promise that the next chapter will be better quality :)
I'm obssessed with Fall Out Boy's new album, American psycho/ American Beauty, I've probably said that before but I'm telling you again :P
There's probably about four chapters and an epilogue left of this book before it's over :(
But I have two books that are saved as drafts that I will be posting once this book or Chasing Nathan has finished (whichever finsihes first tbh) one's a Tomax book the other is a Nom book and idk which to post first so this why I'm going to ask you guys to tell me which you would prefer me to post: Tomax or Nom?
Hope you're all well!
