Long(-ish) yet important author's note at the end.
I had to use ed Sheeran's cover of Hozier's tmtc as the original wasn't letting me put it on wattpad :(. I prefer ed's anyway hehe.I was born sick,
But I love it
Command me to be well
- Take Me To Church; Hozier.
"Hello young one, are you ready? I bet you can't wait."
I could almost feel his smirk. I couldn't see him but I knew he was definitely sporting that signature smirk that sent shivers down my spine.
"Yeah, I'm shaking with excitement right now." I mumbled through my teeth, out of anger as well as being cold.
"Oh come on, Nathan! Don't be like that."
I rolled my eyes. I was glad hardly anyone was about, it would look strange if they saw me talking to myself. "Whatever, now what do I have to do?"
"Well...."
Chapter Nine:
Again and again and again.
That's what I did; how I stabbed her. Even when I was pretty sure she had taken her last breath, I continued stabbing her. I didn't know if it was the adrenaline that rushed through my body, or maybe it was the demon but I just couldn't stop stabbing her it was just so fun, so relieving. My previous rejection of killing the girl had faded away as soon as I had stabbed her. It was like all the pleasure from doing this flooded me straight away.
Almost like the first time I killed. This was different. I seemed to enjoy it more, I didn't know why I was being made to do this I will most likely never find out; the fun is ruined then, I'd rather be kept in the dark. I pulled out my knife from her stomach, I had to pull it with a bit of force as it must have gone through one of her organs. I knew I had done a good job when I heard the demon laughing - it was sinister and sent shivers down my spine.
Normal me was back. If you could even class it as 'normal' anymore, I mean I have a demon that I always hear in my head that's not exactly normal now is it?"Once again, such a good job young one." the demon spoke up from behind me, I turned around but I couldn't see him - I could just hear him; I told myself that this may be because we were in a dark alleyway. "You never fail to deliver. Because of your good work, I ought to give you a treat for being so good, don't I?"
"Are you going to leave me alone?" I asked, hopeful but I knew that he wouldn't do that. I doubted that he would ever leave me alone.
He laughed - once again, his trademark sinister laugh. It was then that I suddenly realised how ominous everything had gotten: the old, decrepit buildings that were on either side of the alleyway and what little light was around, it resembled a scene from a terrible horror film.
"Oh no little one, I can't do that. You will go and tell everyone of our little secret and then you'll be locked away and oh, you will wish that I was still with you... keeping you safe." I shivered, from the coldness of his words.
"So what are you going to do?" I asked but instantly regretted it.
I'm so so so so so so sorry for not updating in nearly a month, I feel so terrible I can't apologise enough. Honestly I hate school but don't we all? It's been so hectic and it's going to get even more hectic-er (I know that's not a word but sue me) I've got mock Gcse exams in two weeks so I have to revise for them which (sadly) means that updates for all of my books will be few and far between until it's all over. Also sorry for the short and shitty chapter :( - Talia xx
