Time passed and Mae grew less and less patient with Taehyung and Yunas blatant PDA.

It seemed as if he knew what time Mae would be working or the exact moments she'd be on the floor for him to walk in.

Whether he was dropping Yuna off, picking her up, or just popping up to visit her as she worked...

He was becoming less subtle in the ways he would show the oblivious young waitress his inappropriate affection in front of the staff and customers.

And Mae was doing her best to ignore it.

But Jungkook had enough.

Shortly after a busy lunch rush, Taehyung stopped by the diner to see Yuna on her lunch break.
Instead of the two sitting in his car, Taehyung chose to perch himself on the hood with Yuna positioned between his legs as they kissed, putting on a show for anyone watching from the diner's large windows.

Taehyungs hands shamelessly traveled down Yunas body, skimming her hips and cupping her ass and squeezing, making her giggle against his hungry lips.

"You smell good.." he murmurs against her lips and she throws her head back to laugh.

"I smell like burgers and french fries Tae." She swats his chest softly and Taehyung leans in to nuzzle her chest.

He shrugs.

"So what? I like burgers and french fries."  He leans back to swipe his tongue up her bottom lip playfully and she blushes.

Taehyung steals a glance at the mirrored window and a tiny smirk paints his lips before he reaches up to pull Yunas hair aside to kiss her neck.

Mae scoffs with disgust as she turns away from the window to wipe a spot on the bar with an exaggerated effort.

Jungkook emerges from the kitchen, smiling when he sees Mae working hard and mumbling to herself with a cute scowl.

His smile falters when he notices her frown deepening as he approached.

"Hey.." he says, leaning against the bar.

Mae mumbles her greeting as she all but breaks into a sweat as she wipes in a circle.

"I think it's clean babe." Jungkook chuckles but Mae doesn't acknowledge him, only continuing to clean the same spot mindlessly.

Jungkook puts his hand over hers to stop her, snatching the damp rag from her clutches and she looks to him with a confused expression.

It softens as soon as they lock eyes and she shakes her head with embarrassment.

"..I'm sorry...I was kind of in my own head.." she frowns.

"I see. What's on your mind?" Jungkook tilts his head and Mae can't help but swoon over how handsome he was.

The two have been seeing each other for a couple of weeks, taking things slow and letting their relationship develop organically.

Jungkook was so sweet and so patient, especially with knowing what was going on with Taehyung and Yuna and how it affected Mae.

It honestly made her feel guilty for even giving it her energy.

"Nothing.." she lies.

"Oh really?" Jungkook quirks his brow.

After a beat, he looks past Mae and finally notices the gross display of affection taking place in the parking lot in broad daylight and rolls his eyes.

"You've gotta be kidding me..." Jungkook mumbles, leaning up from the bar.

"What the fuck is his problem..." he huffs and Mae reaches out to touch his arm.
