"Remind me why we're doing this again?" I looked up at Laurice as she fixed my hair.
"Because it's your engagement party and you're engaged." She smiled down at me.
"But I don't wanna." I pouted
"Oscar's gonna be there and according to my sources he's wearing a dress shirt and pants."
I let out a small laugh.
That I'll like to see."So you invited Jonathan?"i rolled my eyes kmowing where thisbeas going.
"Yup" I popped the 'p'
"Does Oscar know?" I pulled a face. The first time he met him he didn't look quite happy to see him in my apartment.
"He doesn't. Ha. This is going to be fun to watch."She chuckled
"How is it going to be fun to watch? A friend is coming to the party that's it." It was as simple as that.
"Because this is Oscar and Jonathan absolutely adores the ground you walk on."
"That doesn't matter because he knows I have a boyfriend okay and he won't try anything." I rolled my eyes. Jonathan respects me and my relationship and we had a great friendship.
"You are so oblivious, remember that night at the bar, This guy was harassing you and he came and punched the living daylights out of him before shouting stay away from my girl?" She raised an eyebrow pursing her lips.
I remembered that night clearly.
"He was being a gentlemen okay. Any guy friend would do the same thing." I defended.
"Whatever. Just grab your shit let's go. Oscar will kill me if I keep his fiancé here for too long."
Tonight was going to be great and I didn't care what Laurice was implying. Jonathan would never try anything on me. He values our friendship the same way I do.
The car ride was silent but as soon as we neared Oscar's house I instantly regretted letting the boys organise this party.
"Is it too late to back out?" I looked over at Laurice who was looking up at the house with wide eyes.
There was a big Ring balloon and the word engagement in an arc at the front of the house. And there was a lot of people. Way too many.
"We'll just grab Oscar and we can leave." She Cringed.
My heels hit the pavement and I smiled at whoever I met. When I walked inside the house I spotted Oscar with the boys in the kitchen
"And here she is." Pablo cheered when I joined them.
"You look beautiful." Oscar whispered in my ear kissing the side of my face. I looked down at his own attire, he was wearing long black pants and a dressy white shirt which he left unbuttoned.
