Riele's POV
I woke up feeling a little better than yesterday, so I go to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and did my other hygiene and got dressed in a red crop top and ripped jeans with a jacket, I put my hair in a ponytail, put my phone and charger in my purse and left my room to go eat breakfast, my mom was downstairs with Daniella

"Hey sweetie"

"Hi Mom"

"So, you ready for your first day at work?"

"A little nervous but I'll get through it"

"Am so proud of you, what about you Dani, when are you going to work?"

"Woah Dani, you have a job? Why didn't you tell me?" I ask surprised

"Sorry Rie, it never came up besides I work with dad, you know the family business"

"Right, anyways where's Reiya?"

"Oh honey, Reiya is volunteering at the animal shelter, that's why she hasn't been home since you came back" my mom informed me

"Okay mom, I gotta go or I'll be late" I said standing up to leave

"Hold on sweetie, let Dani take you"

"Don't worry mom, I can walk"

"Don't be silly Rie, I can drive you after all my work isn't that far from your own work"

"Fine, you can drive me"

"Yay, come on let's go, see you later mom"

"Bye sweeties"

Daniella and I got into her car and she started driving and I took the liberty to ask her

"Hey Dani, can I ask you a question?"

"Of course you can, go ahead"

"Did you know about Ronald's death?"

As I asked, she looked at me and then back at the road

"Riele, I wanted to tell you"

"So, you knew?"

"Yes and so did Reiya, we wanted to tell you but Dad told us not to"

"I knew it"

"You knew what?"

"I knew you guys would listen to Dad cos dad is in total control of your lives"

"Dad is not in control of anyone's life if he was, you and Ronald wouldn't have left in the first place but he allowed you guys to live your own lives and where did it get Ron, it got him killed and here you are blaming us for not telling you about his death, if we told you, what would you have done?"

"I would have come back to be with you guys"

"I highly doubt that"

"What do you mean by that?"

"Listen Rie, you think Dad is a bad person but he's not, he is the reason Westville is safe for everyone but you think what he does is such a bad thing but it isn't, maybe if you were here all along you would've seen what a great man our father is"

I couldn't believe what Daniella was telling me so I kept quiet thinking about what she said

"We're here"

I looked out to see we were already in the parking lot. I came down

"Thanks Dani"

"You're welcome sis, have a nice day"

"You too"

With that she left and I walked into the store and saw Darryl

"Hi Riele, what brings you here?" He said politely

"Well, if you must know, am your new co-worker"

"Really? Cooper gave you the job after all"

"Yes he did, where is he, by the way?"

"He went to run some errands, he'll be right back"

"Oh okay, can you show me around and maybe tell me what I will be doing"

"Yeah, come on"

I followed Darryl and he showed me around and also told me what I will be doing

"Thanks for the tour, Darryl"

"Anytime and I would like to apologise about the other day, I didn't mean to be rude"

"No problem Darryl, i guess my presence kinda intimidate people. Can w be friends?"

"Sure Rie, can I call you 'Rie'?"

"Yes, all my friends call me Rie"

"Perfect, here's your first
customer"

I looked up and saw a girl about my age and a guy, also about my age who I'm guessing is her boyfriend

"Hello, how can I help you?"

They just completely ignored me and went around the store shopping and after a rough 30 minutes they were done and they came to give me their groceries so I could give now the price. The guy just kept on looking at me weird and I was kinda weirded out

"That will be $100"

"Oh my God, Riele?" The guy said and I looked at him surprised

"Yeah?, Do I know you?"

"It's me Sean, we went to highschool together"

"Oh yeah, I remember you now, how are you?"

"I'm good and this is my girlfriend, Jade"

"Nice to meet you Jade, am Riele"

"Riele? As in crime boss Riele?"

"Actually my dad is the crime boss not me"

"Sorry for the misunderstanding. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Sean tells me a lot about you"

"I hope only good things"

"Yeah"

Then, she whispered to Sean about something

"Hey Riele, would you like to come for an engagement party this weekend" he asked

"I don't know"

"Please, it will be so much fun to have another girl around" Jade pleaded

"Fine"

"Yay, here's our number, I'll text you the address and the time"

She said and I gave her my phone so she could put her and Sean's number

"Nice meeting you Riele"

"Likewise"

I gave them their groceries and they paid and left. After that, customers came like a lot of them so i was pretty much exhausted. Finally closing time came and I was beyond excited

"Bye Darryl, see you tomorrow"

"Bye Rie"

I left and walked home, when I got home no one was in the living room so I just went to my room, and fell flat on my bed, then saw a message from Jade telling me the address, I just dropped my phone and went to the bathroom, had a cold bath and changed into my pyjamas and drifted to sleep real quick.

Riele met another classmate from highschool and she got invited to a party. What will happen at the party? Find out in the next chapter
