Ella's POV
I heard Jace and his dad talking yesterday but I couldn't hear what they were saying but from the look of Jace's face he seemed scared and a little sad so today I'm gonna ask him about it

"Hey Jace" I knocked on his room door

"Who is it?"

"It's me Ella, can I come in?"

"Sure come in"

I entered his room and went to his bed and sat on it

"Jace, how did it go with Riele yesterday?"

He turned around and stared at me

"It went well I guess"

"So are you guys you know together?"

I was surprised when he just started laughing

"Together? Nope we're not together did you know that Riele has a boyfriend?"

"Um, I did actually"

"Are you serious? You knew she was in a relationship and you still allowed me to tell her how I felt do you know how it made me look?"

"In my defense I was about to tell you but your dad walked it before I had the chance so I'm clearly not to blame"

"You're right"

"So?"

"What? There's no us El, she has already found love and unfortunately it wasn't me and besides am over it"

"Are you sure about that?"

"Truly I am, as long as she's happy I am"

"Okay, if you say so. Don't mind me asking but what were you and your dad talking about when you came in yesterday?"

"Sorry El it's a secret but you just need to know that it's related to the family business"

"Okay Jace, bye" I left his room but I had a feeling he was lying to me but I brushed it off and just made my way to Riele's house

Riele's POV
It's only been a day since I broke up with my boyfriend, got fired from a job that was never mine and the most depressing of all being called "despicable" by my best friend and love of my life, yeah you heard me the love of my life. After the events of yesterday I took time to think and I realized that I was using Darryl as a distraction so I wouldn't feel sad about Jace not feeling the same way but when he came and confessed to me I was happy again but I was with Darryl anyways I really hope Jace calls me to straighten things out cos I really don't want to fight with him. I was jolted out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on my door

"Go away dad"

"It's not your dad, it's me Ella"

"Come in"

She entered my room and sat on my bed and just looked at me like she was waiting for me to spill everything. I took this as my cue and sat beside her and told her everything that happened yesterday

"I can't believe my cousin called you "despicable"?" Ella said

"Yeah and he wasn't wrong about me knowing about his feelings towards me and still toying with it"

"Don't say that, how were you supposed to know he was gonna make his move"

"I knew and to be honest I used Darryl as a distraction"

"Um, I didn't get that"

"I said I used Darryl as a distraction, don't get me wrong I love him but as a friend but for Jace I feel a deep connection with him cos we are in the same situation and it is unbelievable that after everything we have been through especially what he did to me I still love him and I  never stopped loving him but now we are both not  even in talking terms with each other I don't know if he still wants to be my friend talk more of my boyfriend, I messed up big time El"

I felt so sad cos my best friend, the love of my life will never ever want to speak with me and I didn't know what to do cos it was all my fault.

"Listen Rie, there is one thing I know about my cousin and it's that he never gives up on what he wants and right now he wants to be with you I know he's a little hurt but I know he will bounce back and when he does I guarantee he will come look for you and you both can run away and start a new life together and in the mean come on let's go out"

"I'm not in the mood too"

"Come on you can't be couped up here all day by yourself"

"I have a better idea, since I have this house to myself why don't we just chill here, watch movies and eat any snacks we want, we can even hit the pool if we like"

"That's fine by me, let's go"

We got everything we needed and we're watching a scary movie when we heard a doorbell Ella went to the door and she just froze

"Hey Ella, who is it?"

She didn't answer, she just looked stunned and she was glued to the floor of my house I mean literally she didn't move or do anything, I got up, went to the door and saw my uncle and two of his cast mates from that show he does

"Hey Riele, what's wrong with your friend?"

"Don't mind her" I pushed her aside "please come in"

My uncle walked in with his friends

"Make yourself at home while I talk to my friend" I left to the kitchen with Ella

"Ella, what's up with you? Who are those people?"

"Riele, you really don't know who they are"

"I don't"

"You're serious you don't know?"

"I am I don't know who they are"

"Well, if you must know the one with dreads is Emmanuel Hudson and the skinny one is DC Young Fly"

"And who are they?"

"They are both actors and rappers that do that show with your uncle and they are also rappers who act"

"So they are famous?"

"Yeah. I can't believe I'm in the presence of one of the greatest freestylers in the game, this is huge"

"Please El, I have no idea what you are talking about and seriously I don't care but please don't embarrass me"

"I won't"

"Promise?"

"Promise"

We went back to the living room and she totally broke her promise fangirling all over them. I was tired so much that I left and went to my room and immediately I got there I got a call and I didn't even check but I froze when I heard his voice

"Hey Rie, can we talk?"
