I woke up the next morning in Wilbur's arms, startled awake by the alarm he had set last night.
"Hit snooze," he mumbled.
"Wilbur- we have to get to the airport-" I said, turning my head to face him.
"I want to stay with you."
"I do too, but you have to go home, Wil..."
Wilbur groaned, hiding his face in my neck for a bit. I let him lay there for a bit before I got up, making him get up as well. I helped him gather his things and I drove him to the airport where I had to convince them to let me go through with him to wait until he boarded. It took a while, but they eventually let me.
When we got to the area where he waited, we sat down next to each other and spoke quietly, looking at all the different people waiting to get on flights as well.
He held my hand, whispering a song to me. I wanted to stay in this moment forever. But of course, it went by too quickly, and his flight was called, letting everyone know that they were ready for boarding.
