I brought my supper back to my room to eat, not wanting to be seen maskless by anyone. By the time I finished eating, the sun was fully set. It was quiet in my room. I opened up my laptop again and decided to search up my new co-workers the old fashioned way.

I googled them.

The first name I put in was Alexander Coleman. I was easily able to find his FaceBook page and began to go through it. American born and raised. Top of his class in high school, and upon graduation, immediately enlisted in the army. Quickly rose up the ranks. I couldn't find much about his army career other than the pictures from medal ceremonies he had been to. Each time his collection of medals grew and grew. He was good.

Next, I googled his friend Valliere Newsome. She was a little harder to find, although her story was interesting. She was Canadian. That made it difficult to find information due to the giant war going on in her country. It looked like she joined the Canadian military as soon as she turned eighteen, and then went M.I.A for quite some time. I couldn't find what happened next, other than her coming back. There was nothing on what happened, and it didn't look like she had any family showing up on her page.

Up next was Morathi Bello. There was absolutely nothing on

him. I figured he'd be pretty good at hiding himself if he was as good of a hacker as Duke had claimed. Next up was Alijah Masih. There was a little more on him, but still not very much. He was from an Arabic country, he was drafted into the Syrian army as most healthy men there were. Still, somehow he ended up on the American side of the war now. I couldn't find out why and I wondered how something like that could even happen.

Surprisingly, Claire Guerrero was the trickiest to find stuff on. Sure, I could find her online presence, but as I dug through her FaceBook page, it gave me very little on who she was. Nothing about her family or friends, not even a single post. The girl was a mystery. Almost like myself. Almost. I didn't have a FaceBook page, to begin with.

I closed my laptop and stood up to look out the window. It was pitch black outside, the stars covered up by the clouds. I decided to go on an adventure. I slid my helmet back over my head and slipped out the door. The hallway lights were still on. I looked down at the end of the hallway to the rec room and saw the door was open with shadows moving inside. I could hear voices coming out of it. Laughing. They seemed to be having a good time.

I turned the opposite way. I went to the back of the building and pushed on the door. The fall air was brisk. I didn't really know where I wanted to go. Part of me told me that I should leave the place altogether. With all the security around the fences, it would be next to impossible to do so without dropping bodies. But then again, I had done the impossible a couple times in my past.

I made my way past the few buildings to the front of the gate. It was being watched by multiple soldiers. It would be too much work. They probably wouldn't even hesitate to shoot me. I turned around to begin walking back to my room. Then I heard a voice call out into the night.

"Hey, Woods!" I froze in my tracks. Who had said that? I figured there was no way that whoever this was, was talking to me. I continued walking. "Woods!" The voice said a little quieter. I spun my head around to look for the sound. "Yes, I'm talking to you!" I needed to find out who this was. I pulled out my knife and began to follow the voice. I found where the voice had been coming from and saw a set of boot prints in the mud. They trailed to a small building. I went around to the back and popped open the back door. "Woods," the voice said again, I quickly had my knife to the voice's neck. Then I saw who it was. The General. He put his hands up.

"Shit!" I exclaimed. "I'm sorry, General." He laughed.

"No worries. I probably should have expected that."
