Chapter 2

*Jack Gilinsky's POV*

She was so beautiful. I just can't believe she said yes to me. I took her to a really fancy dinner. But after that was gonna be the best. I was gonna ask her to be my girlfriend.

*Alaina's POV*

He took me to a really fancy restaurant. I can't believe he asked me out. We walked in. "Do you have reservations?" The guy standing at the door asked us. "Yes we do. The name is Gilinsky." He said back. Wow he got us reservations. He must really like me. "Ah yeas Gilinsky party of 2." The guy said to us. "Right over here." He said again. Jack went first and I followed. He pulled out the seat for me. I say down and he pushed it in. "Thank you." I said to him. "Your welcome beautiful." He said to me. He called me beautiful. I could get use to this.

"What would you like to drink?" The waiter asked us. "Umm I would like a water." I said. "Me too." Jack said. The waiter walked away. I started to look at my menu. "Here you go. Would you like to order or do you need more time?" The waiter said as he gave use our waters. "Well I would like spaghetti and meat balls, please." I said. He nodded his head. "And for you?" He asked Jack. "Actually I'll have the same thing." He said. And with that the waiter walked away.

*Jack Gilinsky's POV*

The waiter kept staring at Alaina. I was so mad about that. But I had to brush it off because we're not dating yet. "So why did you ask me to go out with you?" She asked me. "Ummmm well I really like you." I said shyly. "What can you speak up a little?" She asked me. "Well I really like you." I said a little louder so she could hear me. She just stared at me for a while. "A-a-are you serous?" She asked me. "Yeah I am." I said. She looked down and blushed. I had my hand on the table and she grabbed it. Then I started to blush.

When our food got there the waiter look at her then at our hands. You could tell he was mad. "Here you guys go, do you need anything else?" He asked us. We shook our heads no. After she took one bite she looked at me. "Oh my god this is amazing." She said. I nodded my head in agreement.

*Alaina's POV*

I got a call so I looked at my phone. The call was from the hospital. I started to get nerves. "Hello?" I said. "Hi. Is this Alaina Johnson?" The lady asked me. "Yes it is why?" I said back. "Well this is really hard to say, but your brother Jack Johnson has gotten into a bad car accident." She said back. I started to cry. "What's wrong?" Gilinsky asked me. "It's my brother he got into a bad car accident." I said. "Hello are you still there?" The lady asked me. "Yes I'll be there in 30 minutes." I said. We hung up. "Jack we need to go now." I said trying to calm down. "Ok just let me pay." He said to me as I nodded my head and ran out of the restaurant.

It took a while for Gilinsky to get to the car. "What took to long?" I asked him. "Nothing just get in the car." He said to me. The car drive was silent the whole way there.

*Gets to Hospital*

I ran into the hospital with Gilinsky right behind me. I ask for the room number and they told me it's room 205. I ran to the room and opened the door. What I see scares me. My brother is lying there, pale and almost lifeless with tubes coming out from all over his body. I fall to my knees and put my face in my hands as I feel tears forming. My brother is almost dying and I can't do anything about it.

*Jack Gilinsky's POV*

I see Alaina on the floor. She looks so helpless and lost. I quickly pick her up and rest her in a chair. She looks up and her eyes have no sparkle just sadness. I look into her beautiful blue eyes and then she immediately looks down and begins sobbing harder. All of a sudden I hear a long, loud beeping noise.

*Alaina's POV*

I look up in terror of what I will see. I see a flat line on the monitor. My brother has died. I fall to the ground and start to sob and shake. Then I hear a lot of noise and nurses and doctors rushing around. I feel someone pulling me out into the hallway and I slide down the wall and hope it is all my imagination and that it is all just one sick dream. A nurse comes out of the room and says "I'm sorry to tell you this but your brother has died. Time of death 8:46pm." Then everything becomes real and I fall into Jack G's arms and everything goes black.

*I wake up*

When I woke up I was in my room in someone's arms. Who could it be? I looked over to see Jack Gilinsky. Why was he here? And why would my mom let him in? She doesn't like him at all. I tried to move away so he wouldn't wake up. He's eyes fluttered open. "Good morning beautiful." He said to me. "Morning." I said as I got up and got clothes. "So why are you here?" I asked him. "Well your mom saw how upset you were and she said I should stay with you." He said. "Really? She said that?" I said. "Yeah. Why wouldn't she?" He asked me. "Well she doesn't really like you." I said. He just sat there shocked. I finally found my outfit for the day. Black leggings, a red flannel, and black Uggs. I walked to my bathroom and turned on the water. After it got hot I jumped in.

When I got out I got dressed in the bathroom. Then I wrapped my hair in the towel. I walked back to my room. Gilinsky was still in the same spot as he was when I left. "You look nice." He said to me. "Thanks. You should go home and get dressed maybe we can do something." I said. "Okay. I'll be back soon." He said as he walked out of my room.

*Jack Gilinsky's POV*

I went back home to get dressed. She acts like nothing happened yesterday with her brother. I felt bad. I picked out my outfit. Black jeans, a red flannel, and black vans. I jumped in the shower.

When I got out I walked back to my room to get dressed. After I got dressed I brushed my teeth. Then I was ready to go. So I drove back to Alaina's house.

*Alaina's POV*

After Jack left I brushed my teeth and did my hair. I decided to straighten it. When I was done doing my hair I did my make up. Just a little bit because I don't know what we are doing today. When I finish I go down stairs. The Gilinsky knocks on the door. "It's opened." I say. He came in and he looked so hot. "Wow you look really nice." He said to me. "You don't look so bad yourself." I said back to him while I was blushing. He came and sat down next to me. "Where do you want to go?" He asked me. "I was thinking lazer tag." I said to him. He nodded as he grabbed my hand and pulled me outside. I live really far from the lazer tag place to I decided to sleep on the way there.
