((Mature content/violence/animal abuse warning)

The dog is an animal in the cage,
And its human is to blame,
He is just playing his own game.
The dog wishes it could be the same,
But the human decided to play a different game.

The dog is an animal in the cage,
Getting kicked by a human, full of rage.
The dog's illusion of a better life fades away, leaving him feel astray.
These bruises on its body aren't the same,

The dog thinks it is to blame,
Not knowing what did it do wrong,
Giving the human its all,
But the dog is only an animal in the cage,
Its life is only a mirage.

The dog loves its owner till the end,
But the human didn't want to befriend.
The human kicks the dog everyday,
Beating his rage,

But the dog is an helpless animal in the cage,
Everyday beaten up by the human filled with rage.

The blood is dripping on the wall,
The dog is hiding in the corner,
Shaking and wishing it will finally be over,
The human is lurking near,
Resembling a hungry bear.

The dog is shaking in despair,
Not being able to fight,
The light is fading away,
Leaving the dog in despair.

Its bones are broken,
Its barks are unspoken,
And no one can hear,
Its desperate cry for help,

Its fur is tore,
The human's eyes bore,
Into the dog's,
The dog's throat is sore,
Its heart is broken to the core.

The human is coming near,
The dog's barks are heartbreaking,
The dog was an animal in the cage,
Getting beaten up by a human, full of rage.

This human now opened the cage,
Slaughtering the dog of a young age.
The dog's heart became even more broken,
The dog's fur became even more torn,
But the dog will now be reborn.

The dog was an helpless animal in the cage,
Beaten up to death by a human, full of rage.

Moral of the story/About:

This would be about animal abuse. It's sad that this happens in real life. But some people get themselves a dog, just to beat their rage on it. And the dog is not a toy, it's a real animal with feelings. It makes me sad to see or know when this happens. I wanted to make the dog survive, but that is not what this poem is about. Please, do not abuse animals. They have feelings too.
