I was trapped without my powers. The sun that was used to fuel me had now been ripped away from my grasp. I was dying and I knew it, but worst of all was that Eric had to suffer along with me. His blood was everywhere and there was nothing I could do while I was chained up and without sunlight. "Please get him to a hospital." I pleaded. The girl I once thought was kind and gentle was the one who I never thought would treat him this way. "Shut up Katherine." She said to me. If only I had my light I would have totally kicked her ass for that remark. "He's going to die and you know it," I said.
"That's what those get for choosing you over me." She said. I could tell that she was worried about Eric, but she made no attempt to help save him. I needed her to at least get him out of here. "Please. Do you honestly want him to die?" I asked.
"I told you to shut up." She said.
"I'm begging you. Save him." I said. She glared at me, but then it turned into something else. Compassion I would call it, but one couldn't be sure when it came to her. "Will you leave town forever if I do?" She asked.
"Forever," I said. I would truly miss this town and most of the people in it, but Eric was my mate and I had to protect him at all cost even if it meant separation. She smiled wickedly at me as I held my head down in defeat. She won, but she would never win his heart as I have already claimed it as my own. I would have to kill her once I reached the light once I got out if this Darkness.
