I arrived at school and all eyes went to me. I smiled shyly and closed my car door. A girl with blonde hair approached me. "You must be the new fairy in town." She said. My eyes grew wide, but I quickly hide it from her. "Smooth Hope. Real smooth." A guy with blonde hair said. I activated my shield for protection. "I don't know what your selling, but I'm not buying," I said. They both laughed and Hope locked her arm with mine. "Follow me." She said dragging me inside the building to a table with three other people. She finally released my hand. "This is our new member." the guy with blonde hair said. "Hi, I'm Ariel." One girl at the table said. "Katherine," I said.
"I'm Logan and that's Blaze." A guy at the table said pointing to a girl holding a lighter. "I almost forgot. I'm Hope and that's Peyton." The girl that dragged me said pointing to the blonde-haired guy next to her. "Nice to meet you all," I said.
"So what can you do?" Ariel asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"We can all do something. I control ice." Logan said.
"I control water," Ariel said.
"I'm good with fire." Blaze said.
"I can stop, slow, or increase time," Peyton said. "I can give or take away Hope," Hope said.
"As of now, I can take energy from the sun," I said.
"I never met a fairy before," Ariel said with excitement. Peyton, Hope, Ariel, and Logan tensed up within an instant and I turned to see a guy with the same lighter as Blaze walk into the classroom. "Who's that?" I asked.
"Victor," Logan said with pure hate in his voice. "Let's teach him a little lesson," Logan said. I hadn't caught onto what he said until I saw ice hurdling his way. It soon turned to water and handed on the ground when a guy walked in. Okay, he wasn't just any guy he was the guy. The guy that I could adore every day and every night. I had just spotted my mate. A girl followed after him laughing with him. I was about to give her a little zap nothing that would kill her until he made eye contact with me.
Eric POV:
Clover and I had been laughing non stop about how last week's episode of X-Factor. Some kid appeared there and he was just plain terrible. We walked into our English class when I saw her. The new girl that Clover was telling me about. She was a pure beauty and she noticed me. Usually, I would avoid people like her, but something was different. I felt something that was pulling me to her. We made eye contact and there was a spark of electricity flying through me. I would have approached her, but she was with Blaze and Blaze scared the crap out of me and so did her brother Victor. Something about them screamed danger and to avoid it all I chose to stay away. "Eric, did you hear me?" Clover asked snapping me out of my trance. "Sorry I blanked out," I said breaking the eye contact between me and the new girl.
