It was midnight that same night that Shouto interrupted their viewing of Insidious (admittedly not the most classic holiday movie, but Momo insisted) to tell her an interesting little bit of information he'd found on the internet. Her name. That's right, Shouto Todoroki actually put time and effort into something that wasn't picking up hot chicks at a bar.
But why, you might ask? Why would he bother looking up her name and what it meant and why would he bother going through all that trouble just to find a nickname to annoy her? The answer was a simple one: revenge.
The entire day they'd been stuck inside thanks to a thick layer of snow coating everything outdoors. Normally, this wouldn't have been a bad thing. I mean, Shouto actually (though don't ever tell him I told you this) found it somewhat enjoyable to spend time with his female roommate. She certainly had a different way of handling him. Unlike Denki, she wasn't constantly trying to piss him off and succeeding at it, and unlike with Izuku, he could do things like watching scary movies and be sarcastic in a way that bordered on flirtatious.
But, the one drawback was that, unlike Izuku, Momo didn't put up with his shit, which meant that every time he semi-flirted with her throughout the day, she countered by calling him Little-Miss-Dickwad. And let me tell you, that did not sit well with our dual-haired man.
"You're aware your name means Peaches in Japanese, right?" Momo ceased her crusade on the vanilla ice cream in her lap and looked at him with narrowed eyes. She didn't like where this was going. Of course, she knew what it meant becuase people had been informing her of that her whole life. Yes, she understood that not a lot of people chose to name their child after a fruit, but she didn't need people constantly reminding her of it.
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh, I just wanted to let you know that that's what I'll be calling you from now on, okay Peaches?" He didn't even look at her as she furrowed her eyebrows at him and pushed her bottom lip out in a dissatisfied pout. Was this what the next two weeks were going to be like? Becuase she swore to god that if called her Peaches she was going to lose her shit. The only person who had ever called her that before was a kid named Neito in her fourth-grade class. He was a year ahead and knew six languages by the time he was nine and he called her Peaches mockingly every single day. But the most important thing about him was that he was annoying as fuck.
"No, uh uh, not happening, say my name," Momo warned, holding her spoon up to him, rather threateningly, I might add. It hadn't even been a full twenty-four-hours with just the two of them and she was already losing it. Momo may have had the patience of a saint but not with him. Shouto Todoroki had a way of going far past the limits of her patience with a few simple words. "Say it."
"Is that a kink?" Momo physically choked. She couldn't even look at him her face was burning so badly. A bright red blush lit up her cheeks and she was forced to set her food down on the coffee table as proceeded to choke on nothing. See, now this is what I meant when I said he managed to push her patience right out the window and send it to it's death. "Becuase I can do that."
She was still coughing as she punched his muscular shoulder and spurred a wave of laughter from his lips. God, what was she going to do with him? He somehow managed to make anything and everything into some weird sex thing and it would drive her nuts. One time he spilled food on the floor and picked it up and ate it and when she said, "You're not seriously going to eat that off the floor," he just had to make her blush a bright cherry color by saying, "Why? Would you like me to eat it off of you instead?" Everything.
"You can't say stuff like that to your roommate, Shouto," She responded after drinking almost an entire glass of water, and even then her voice was still horse as hell. By now, she was completely ignoring the movie because she was just trying her best not to show him how hard her heart was hammering in her chest. Why was this happening to her? She had been around plenty of guys that made sexual inuendos out of what she said just to "flirt" with her, but, while they may have made her uncomfortable, she never actually felt emotions toward them (well, other than disgust).
