"You're seriously making your mother a New Year's card with..." He held up the clear plastic sheet of candy-colored stickers as he looked doubtfully at her. "Puffy stickers?"

It had been two days since their little almost-an-argument and neither had decided to discuss it further becuase they obviously didn't agree on the issue and they might never, so what was the point in riling each other up further? Of course, Shouto still called her peaches and took subtly flirting with her to the absolute extreme as per usual, but at least now he wasn't making blatantly sexual comments to her. So, in that regard, the situation at the apartment was improving.

However, not everything was fixed just becuase she called him out. He still left his clothing strewn about the house and he never once attempted to clean the dishes. And sometimes Momo considered not cleaning the dishes or doing the laundry just to prove a point, but then she remembered that she would be living in a household with no clean dishes or clothing as well, and the idea fell apart.

"I don't see you making a card for your mom, so hush," her tongue peeked out between her full lips as she meticulously placed a squishy heart sticker right next to her neatly written 'Love, Momo' and for the quickest second, Shouto caught himself imagining what it would be like to trace the curve of those lips with the pad of his thumb. Momo was a master of communicating emotions with just a look. What look would she give him then? But he quickly blinked, forcing the image out of his mind.

"I'm going to call my mom on New Year's, so you hush. I'm not a monster. I still care about my family, you know," He leaned into the palm of her hand, watching her work skillfully on the child-like design of the homemade card. It wasn't like he was going to tell her such, but he actually thought it was really sweet how much effort she was putting in. Especially becuase he knew about what happened to her dad. He couldn't even bear to call his hospitalized brother. He couldn't imagine what it must be like to... But that was just Momo.

"Not a monster, huh? Could've fooled me," He released a small laugh at her words as she finished the card up by inking in small hearts that were almost too perfect to be hand-drawn. Momo somehow managed to do everything perfectly, even without particularly trying. If only Shouto had that skill, maybe he wouldn't be such a fuck-up when it came to relationships.

"Yeah, well, next time you wanna call me a monster, don't forget who hit me with the fridge door that one time," It was true. On the third or fourth day after Momo had moved into the loft apartment, Shouto happened to walk up behind the fridge just as she opened it and she managed to hit him square in the face and leave him bleeding. Denki had burst out laughing while Izuku passed out at the sight of blood.

"Gosh, you knock someone out with a refrigerator one time and they never let you forget it," She murmured folding the card neatly into the envelope that she 'Mom' on the back of in fancy lettering. She sealed the pastel purple note and then proceeded to stamp and address it with perfect precision. "Anyway, I'm gonna go mail this, so you choose a movie for us to watch becuase I'm not playing another game of Spot It with you. What is up with your eyes?" She asked as she stood up and began to make her way to the door, dropping the sticker sheets on the coffee table as she did.

"I just play a lot, I guess. Denki always thinks he can beat me. Spoiler alert: he can't. I bet you I have every card memorized by now," The dual-haired man said matter-fo-factly as he sat down on the couch and tried to think of a movie they would both like. Momo liked scary movies even though she only ended up actually seeing half of it becuase the other half was spent with her face behind a blanket. And she hated dramas becuase she thought they were boring. Unless they were romances, in which case she loved them. Was it weird that he knew all of her movie preferences when she had only moved in like, a month ago?
