I walked a bit closer to the area where most of the girls were huddled up, hoping to get a closer look at how they were treating the maids and butlers.

Most of them were kind, but as expected, Nellie and Abigal were taking the maids and butlers for granted. But strangely, so did Celia. Maybe she was only here to enjoy the luxury?

I also saw that Conner was talking with Elle. Mostly Elle nodding and agreeing with everything Conner said.

That's not exactly a good trait for a queen or monarchy of any kind.

Then the Conner started to dance with Oceané... Ummm... Oceané is at least five inches taller than Conner... Uhhhhhhh...

The ball was going smoothly, and so was the plan.

I'd even prepared a list of the girls that I'd be okay with Conner marrying. No. 1 being who I wanted him to marry the most, and No. 11 being who I wanted him to marry the least.

1. Fiona

2. Erica

3. Oceané or Annabelle

4. Oceané or Annabelle

5. Maria

6. Allora

7. Monica

8. Elle

9. Celia

10. Nellie or Abigal

11. Nellie or Abigal

I'd also caught Nellie shooting seducing looks at Conner.

Ew.

I'd been happy to see that Nellie and Abigal were the first to be sent home. This wasn't exactly normal, they must've been extremely disturbing and annoying for him to send them home waaaaaaay earlier than usual.

The plan was still working well.

Everything was going smoothly for Conner as well (once Nellie and Abigal were gone). He'd danced with all of the remaining girls and he'd definitely had fun.

Then it was time to choose.

He sent home Celia first.

She seemed relieved.

Then Monica, Annabelle, Erica, Oceané, Maria, and Elle.

Just Fiona and Allora left. At this point, I didn't know who to silently root for.

Allora had good connections and was also very bright and entertaining.

But Fiona seemed to know the normal problems of the citizens.

I don't think Conner knew how to choose either.

Good thing he didn't have to yet.

He shot me a look, a secret plead of help.

"Come, sister. I need your help." he motioned for me to follow him.

I nodded and did as I was told.

"Lemme guess, you have no idea who to choose?" I asked as I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Uhhh, yes?"

I slapped my forehead.

"Okay, here's what you should do,"

I started.

"Hello, people of Canamaria, I have reached a decision. I will not be choosing either Lady Allora or Lady Fiona. Not yet, anyway," he winked at the audience.

Allora and Fiona both giggled. Then they gave each other death stares.

By that, I knew this was NOT going to be gentle.

"I will be hosting a Choosing."

Heh, hi there!

So, about the Choosing, it's sort of like The Selection, by Kiera Cass (I love that book! ^w^).

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter, sorry it took so long! :P

Baiiiiiii~!
