Goodbye?!
"WAIT!" I yelled.
Shit, what do I do now?
"Cannot. Compute. Cannot. Compute. Cannot. Compute." Celia repeated and repeated.
A robot?
But, Celia's humane... Right?
I guess not.
I'd seen and heard robots hundreds of times, but never one that could act so humanly for so long.
I jumped up from the chair and fled to a nearby door (not the grand one, Celia's 'mother' would probably be close by).
"HEY! STOP RIGHT THERE!!" I heard a man yell.
I ignored him and kept running. I couldn't run at full speed though, I think Celia did something to my legs.
I glanced behind me to see two men in black suits chasing after me.
I ran.
I ran like my life was on the line (it probably was).
I managed to run to a village, I saw a guy that looked around my age, he saw me a little later and immediately bowed down.
"Your Highness," he said as he bowed.
"Please, rise. I need some help."
"How may I be of assistance?"
"This may sound strange, but I need entrance to your home."
"Of course! Please, follow me."
"Thank you."
He started to walk to a nearby building. I followed.
He opened the door and motioned for me to enter.
"Thank you, so, so much." I thanked him again.
"No problem, Your Highness, I don't mean to be nosy, but may I ask what has brought you to Wiminag?"
"You see, it was my brother's birthday ball. I had pulled aside to talk to a friend, but during our conversation, I think I'd been kidnapped. I woke up in that mansion over there-" I pointed to where I'd come from. "-I saw a portrait of one of the attendees of the ball. I think she was the one who ordered my kidnapping."
"Oh, dear! I should return you to the royal family, shouldn't I?"
"I'd like that, thank you." I smiled.
"Now, I wasn't expecting guests, so please pardon my home's... Mess..."
"Oh, that's okay. It's not every day that the princess of Canamaria comes for help to you."
"Ha, very true."
We sat in silence for a second.
"Oh! I never properly introduced myself, I'm Mason. Mason Miller." he said as he gave out his hand for me to shake.
"Nice to meet you, Mason." I paused, realizing something.
"Do you have anybody related to you named Ace? If so, does he work as a guard in the castle?"
"Yes! Yes, I do. How did you know? You must know him then, correct?"
"Oh my-"
