Cara POV
"You're telling me that you talked about Calum and didn't stay sad for like 2 hours after?"
"Nope."
I was currently on face-time with Lucía and I told her all about Keanu and I's conversation last night. She is right though, it's pretty odd for me to talk about Calum and not get sad for a while after. He always dampens my mood, but for some reason that didn't happen this time.
"Ay! He's already influencing you in positive ways! Your babies are going to be so cute! I can't wait to plan the wedding!"
"Yeah, yeah, speaking of cute babies, how are you and Ace doing?"
"Oh yeah... that's actually why I called you. He... he blocked me last night. And the estúpida puta Lacy texted me photos of her half naked on facetime with him."
"What the fuck? Did anything happen before he blocked you?"
"Well... I was feeling a little bold yesterday. We were talking and flirting and I just felt like I was being dragged along. I just wanted to know if he was going to stay or play with my feelings, so I told him how much he meant to me and asked him. And... then he blocked me."
"Oh Lucy, I'm so sorry. I'm gonna fix this I swear, give me a couple hours."
"Chica, you don't have to do anything. I'll get over it eventually."
"No way, I'm not letting him do that to you. You're my best friend."
"But-"
"I'm going to figure out what happened and that's final."
I hung up the phone and quickly called the only other person that could get me some answers.
"Keanu."
"Hey babygirl what's u-"
"No time for niceties. What's going on with your friend?"
He sighed. "Are you talking about what he did to Lucía? Look he's not a bad guy, I swear."
"Then what's he doing blocking her and getting on facetime with other half naked girls when Lucía thought she and him were talking?"
"Okay I don't even know how you know about the facetime call, but Lacy called him half naked and he didn't even know what was happening. She wasn't on the screen when she first called and then all of a sudden she came on half naked. He's a guy, I'm not saying it was right, but he did stare. After he realized what he was doing he quickly hung up without saying a word and blocked her right after."
"Okay... so why'd he block Lucía if he's so committed to her?"
"Remember when you stopped talking to me because you felt like you 'trusted me too much' and that was scary for you?"
"Yeah..."
"Well that's kind of the same situation. He's scared of his emotions. Usually he doesn't really like girls this much. He's a real nice guy, but the last time he had a girlfriend he kind of screwed it up so having strong feelings for a girl scares him. He doesn't want to hurt her, but also wants to be with her. I think he should go for it. I think they're good for each other. He just needs a little convincing that if he puts in work and so does she then they will actually make a great couple."
"Okay, well I'm gonna go convince him of that."
"Are you sure... I'm not sure that'll work out as great as you want it to."
"Look, my best friends the same way. She hasn't found someone she is genuinely interested in and vise versa for the longest, so this is big for her. If I can do something to help her, then I will."
"Okay... Good luck."
I went into snapchat and found Ace's account. I hadn't texted him on here before, so this should be interesting.

Okay sir, I'm going to need you to unblock Lucía right now and explain to her what's going on.
Ace T
Look Cara, it's nice that you're trying to help us out, but you can't convince me to do that. I'm assuming Keanu explained everything to you already because I doubt you would come to me before talking to him. Lucía needs someone better than me, someone who isn't afraid of their own feelings. She'll get over me eventually.
Me
Look Ace, I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to save both you and her from the possibility of heartbreak, but you haven't even given you guys a chance. Lucía really likes you. She's never showed this much interest in a guy in all the time I've known her, and trust me I've known her for a long time. Don't do this to her. Don't give her all these memories and then just ditch her. Please. If not for yourself then for her. Just text her. Ask her out. Something.

Do you even think we have a chance? That we would last? I don't want to end up never talking to her again because I did something dumb.

As long as you both fight for each other and try to keep the relationship alive, then yes, I do think you guys could have a chance at lasting.

She tried not to show it very much but I know she's hurting on the inside. She'll try and pretend to be mad, but trust me, she's sad. Don't give up if she starts being difficult.

Okay... thanks Cara, if she and I get married one day I basically have to dedicate our relationship to you. If Lucía doesn't make you her maid of honor then you can be my best man, fuck Kean.

Hey Guys!
So how'd ya like this chapter? What do you think's gonna happen between Lucía and Ace? This is one of the main things that happen in their book :)
This one was a little shorter cause I was setting the basis for the second book in the trilogy, "The Quaranteens: Confinement"
Just so everyone knows, I won't be started on the other books in the trilogy until I'm done with this one. Each one will be a standalone, they'll just be set in the same universe with the same characters lol.
