"So care to tell me why my sister is crying in her bedroom right now?" 

"She didn't tell you what happened?"

"Nope. When I asked her she told me to ask my girlfriend and I'm assuming that she was referring to you so... why's my sister crying?"

"Lucía's brother."

"Who's Lucía's brother and what does he have to do with any of this?"

"His name is Cruz. He and your sister were dating."

"Wait Cruz is Lucía's brother? Wait Cruz dumped my sister?! That little shit. Am I allowed to beat him up?"

"We're gonna figure out exactly what happened and why it happened soon. Lucía is talking to Cruz right now and she has Kalani on the phone so that she can hear everything he's saying. I really hope Cruz wasn't toying with Kalani, I can't see him being a bad guy."

"He better not be for his own sake."

"Even if he is an ass you still don't have permission to beat him up."

"But why, that's my little sister!"

If I don't calm him down now he's probably gonna barge into Kalani's room and we won't get the information we need from Cruz. Guess all my pride is going out the window for this one.

"You know... your whole protective big brother act is kinda hot..." It wasn't a seductive tone by any means. I almost threw up in my mouth saying it casually, imagine if I tried to be sexy with it. Ugh.

He raised his eyebrows and smirked at me, "Is it now?"

"Yep. So hot. Yes, yep uhuh..." Oh and here comes the blush.

"You know you're not fooling anyone right? I can tell your just trying to stall me from going into Kalani's room and giving Cruz a piece of my mind."

"Okay, well I had to do something!"

"Well next time you try to seduce me get more into it. You looked like you were on the verge of puking the entire time."

"That's because I was. Sexy is not my style luv."

"I can tell," he laughed at me.

"What's that supposed to mean!?"

"It just means that..." I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Well... uhh... Your personality is more cute... than sexy."

"What so you're telling me that I couldn't seduce you if I wanted!" I yelled at him.

Yep, this was my kind of stalling.

"No, no not at all that's not what I was saying!"

"Then what were you saying?"

He put his hands up in surrender, "I take it back! I take it all back!"

I rolled my eyes and smirked at him, "Damn right."

Lucía and Kalani texted in the groupchat that we made for the three of us saying that everything went smoothly and they got everything needed. I hung up the phone on Kean and called them instead. Turns out that Cruz really wasn't that bad of a guy.

"It was actually so sweet what he said. Yes, some of it was dumb boy stuff, but it was mostly cute. I knew my brother wasn't an awful person!" Lucía gushed over what her brother said about Lani.

"I will admit I'm happy he didn't end up being sucky. But Lani, what are you going to do? Are you gonna take him back?"

"He hasn't even tried to contact me yet. I can't take him back if I'm not offered the chance."

"Kalani you blocked him remember?"

"Oh shit, Cara you're right!"

I laughed at her, she's so cute. "So again I ask, what are you gonna do?"

"Uhh..."

"Can I suggest something?" Lucía asked innocently, thought I knew it was going to be anything but.

"I'm not sure if you know the amount of stuff I put Ace through before actually allowing himself to become my boyfriend and all he did was cause me some minor emotional stress for a day, a mere 24 hours. Now tell me chica, how long has it been since he broke up with you?"

"Uhh, a week."

"A week? Well that's 24 times 7 isn't it? So you just times my punishment by 7 and boom! You get Cruz's punishment."

"You're evil..." Kalani replied, "but I like it!"

"This is my kinda girl. Cara never wants to do this type of stuff. She's all about talking it out and feelings and stuff. Ugh."

"Sometimes you just gotta take charge Cara."

I giggled at them. A match made in hea-, wait no! Hell. "I'll just leave you two to your evil plotting now."

"Bye best friend!"

"Bye Cara!"

I laughed again and hung up the phone.

They're going to destroy the world together aren't they? Or just make all men our slaves, either way they're gonna do something.

Keanu called not even 2 minutes after I hung up on Kalani and Lucía. How did he even know I was off the phone? That guy is scary I swear.

"Hi babygirl, how was your day? Good? Great, amazing, nice chat. Now tell me everything!"

"How did you even know that I was-"

"I heard Lani yell 'Bye Cara' from my room. So tell me, do I have a Cruz to beat up or what?"

"From your room?..."

"Okay, okay, I was sitting in front of her door to try and listen, but all I could make out was when she said bye to you, can you tell me if I can- need to beat up Cruz?

"No Mr. protective-big-brother, calm down. There'll be no beating up of 16 year old boys."

I quickly relayed the story to Kean the best way I could. I didn't know everything and he was asking a shit ton of questions.

"So are they back together?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"They haven't even talked yet KC, slow your roll."

"Is she going to take him back?"

"Still trying to figure that out."

"His friends an ass."

"Agreed."

"Did he cut off his friend? He better have."

"How would I possibly know that Keanu?"

"I don't know, you know a lot of stuff."

"Well I don't know this."

"Are you sure... I feel like you're keeping something from me..."

"Ugh Laisse-moi tranquille Keanu!"

"Wait but-"

Sometimes he's cute but sometimes he's annoying as hell.

Hey guys! 

How's everyone doing? 

Just so everyone knows I actually finished the book today. I was trying to finish this book relatively quickly so that I could finish editing my other book, 'It Started With A Run', and maybe enter either this series or ISWAR into the watty's. I probably won't win, but it'd be fun participating. 

Anyways, I've already started thinking about ideas for the next two books in the series, so stay tuned for that. There are 26 chapters plus an epilogue in this book, so we have 9 chapters left. I hope everyone's enjoying.
