What do I do now? I mean I have to talk to him, I have to fix things. He hung up on me really early into the conversation. We'd only been on facetime for about 20 minutes, and that was about 8 PM. It's been about two hours, so now it's 10 PM. Usually he would be awake around this time, but that's because we're talking and I'm keeping him up. 

I sent him a couple texts but he didn't reply, so I don't even know if he's going to answer my call-

Incoming facetime from KC 🤪😳

Ohmygosh he's calling me! What do I do?

Wait why am I freaking out it's just Kean. I might like him now but that changes literally nothing.

"Hey babygirl, look I'm so sorry for everything. I overreacted, I shouldn't have gotten so mad, I was just a bit jealous."

"Jealous?"

And then it hit me like a freight train.

Keanu Carmichael likes me. Like, actually. That's why he got so mad, because I said I liked Alyx.

But I can't tell him I like him. I'm not doing, it I refuse. I'd rather him tell me he likes me. It may be because I'm too scared to say it, but it doesn't matter. He almost said it earlier so I'm sure he'll burst soon enough. I just have to pretend to be completely oblivious. So basically act like I do with him on a regular day-to-day basis.

"I... uhm. I was jealous of... uh." He stuttered and stumbled over his words, not knowing what to say.

"It's okay, I get it..."

"You do? Seriously?"

"Yeah, I think I do! That whole talk about me being oblivious! I understand what you meant now."

He laid his head back on the backboard on his bed and sighed, "Oh thank god. I thought you'd never catch on."

"Yeah, I know I was pretty dumb before but now I get it."

"Well at least I don't have to tell you myself and not have you feel the same way. That would be embarrassing."

"Of course I feel the same way silly!" I giggled, causing his eyes to go wide and his head to perk up.

"Really?" Oh this boy was about to be in for a rude awakening.

"Yeah! If you stopped talking to me for that other girl after I just blew someone off for you I'd be mad too. You were jealous that Alyx was taking up all of your time with me!" I said with a wide smile.

His head fell a little and all excitement left his eyes. "Yeah, right. Because you stopped talking to me as much. I was jealous." He said in a flat tone.

"Well no need to be jealous. Back to regularly scheduled programming. Everyday calls."

"Well what about Alyx? Don't you have him to talk to? I don't wanna mess up your chances with him."

"Eh. I didn't really like him that much anyways. I think I was using him to cover up the fact that I actually liked this other guy."

He groaned, "Ugh, there's another guy?"

"Yeah..."

"Do I know him?"

"I'm 100% sure that you know him."

"Really?" He said taking a deep breath. He looked like he was trying to calm himself down. "What does this guy look like?"

"He kinda looks like you actually."

"Hmm... is it Jamie?"

"Nope."

"Kai?"

"Nope." I said, popping the 'p'

"Are you gonna tell me who it is?"

I looked at him and smirked and I knew he already knew the answer.

"Nope." We said in sync.

"But... why? I wanna beat him u- I mean have a nice conversation with him." I laughed, and he calls me oblivious. Dummy.

"Too bad."

After a while I finally got him to change the subject.

You won't get to know my secrets until you admit your secret that I already know about to me Kean. That's how this little arrangement works.

I woke up on Saturday dreading everything.

I had to tell Lucía that I liked Keanu.

Ugh this was gonna suck. She was gonna tell me that she knew it all along and that she was right and everything was going to be awful, but there was no way I couldn't tell her. That would make everything so much worse...

Hey Lucy -C

Hey chica! -L

I gotta tell you something... please don't freak. -C

Girl please don't tell me you sent nudes to some hot guy on snapchat. -L

Lucy no calm down. -C

I thought we agreed we'd do that together! -L

She didn't say anything for a while. After 5 minutes I got scared and was thinking about calling the police and saying that best friend died from... I dunno a heart attack? But then she called me.

"I'm sorry babe but I had to read that over and over again to try not to scream but oh my god! Finally! I was right! Ahhhhh! Tell me everything."

And I did. I told her everything. I told her about my revelation after I had a talk with Alyx about relationships. I told her how Kean reacted after I told him how I felt -or thought I felt- about Alyx. She didn't seem too happy about the fact that I was waiting on Kean to admit his feelings first though.

"Nope, no, nuhuh, don't do that."

"Why?"

"Because I'm impatient!"

"Too bad, not your relationship."

"Okay fine, but if a month passes and nothing happens I'm telling him you like him."

"Sure that's fine, I can work with that."

"You say that as if it's an option."

I laughed even though I knew she was being dead serious.

Welp, I've got a month to try and get Keanu to confess his feelings to me. Otherwise I will be majorly embarrassed by Lucía and there's no way I'm letting that happen.

"Hey Cara? Well you told me something, can I tell you something?"

"Of course luv. We're besties."

"I think me and Ace broke up. Again..."

Ace and Lucía's relationship has been a little rocky since... well honestly during the whole thing. This would be the second time they've broken up in a month and they've had like 3 "breaks". It isn't a toxic relationship really, they just both need to learn a thing or two about trust. They need to trust each other to do simple things like talking to people of the opposite sex, but they don't. Neither of them do. They really are perfect for each other, in both good ways and bad.

"What happened this time babe? Tell me."

"I think I messed up big time Cara. I dunno how I'm gonna fix this one."

"Just explain."

"Well remember how last time I accused him of cheating on me... and he wasn't. And how we took that day long break because I was mad but then he apologized even though he shouldn't have cause it was my fault?"

"Mhm."

"Well he accused me of doing the same thing and instead of being calm like he was I got all mad at him for saying that. For assuming that of me but..." She sniffled. Uh oh whenever she cries that means it's serious. She's really not a crier. "It's my fault. I had no right to get mad. I'm such a hypocrite. Soy tan estupida."

And this right here is how I know they'll make it. As long as they realize their faults and work through them, they'll be okay in the long run.

"Well you feel sorry right?"

"Of course I feel sorry Cara. What type of question is that?"

"Have you told him that?"

"Well... no not exactly."

"Then you should tell him that."

"Ugh how did I not think of that. Thank you so much Cara."

"It's what I'm here for." I smiled at her. Well at the screen. We weren't video calling.

"Te amo mejor amiga."

"Yo también te quiero"

"Don't forget about Kean bestie. Remember you got one month!"

One month... I have one month. This shouldn't be too hard. No not at all.

Hey guys!

Okay first of all I just wanted to say that I'm gonna be posting one chapter a day until I finish the book. Like I said before, I've finished the book, just need to edit and everything.

Second, the ending of this chapter with Lucy and Ace's problems were kinda there so you can see the basis for the next book. I haven't really started on it yet, but I do have the plotline and everything. I'm going to be taking a little break after this book and just reading and thinking of ideas for a little bit.
