I landed perfectly, the lightsabers lighting my way in the cave. Sweat beading across my forehead. My Jedi Training has gone ever further after we escaped the prison. I had finally begun to trust in the force. And as a result my power grew. I was becoming stronger every day with the help of Kanan. I had recently learned to love my solo-training though. Often stealing their lightsabers to train with. They felt comfortable in my hands. I swung them at two nearby pillars of rock. In one precise move the lightsabers split through them. The sound of water roared in my ears. I was near the edge of a waterfall hidden deep into the cave. It required a force jump to get from one side of the cave to the other. I smirked.
Can't hold me back now.
I lunged as far as I could, giving myself a boost with the force, I skidded through the water. The slow flowing lake that led to the waterfall was easy to wade through. It barely reached my ankles as I treaded through it. Suddenly I felt Kanan's force being nearing. His confident stride marching through the cave. He was catching up. This was part of my training. I picked up my pace, turning my slow gate to a steady run. Splashing through the water and ruining my chances at stealth.
"I got you there."
I rolled my eyes.
"That's what you think."
"Let's see what you've learned." Kanan's challenge made a excited energy surge through me. I dropped his lightsaber in the water before taking off again. I called Ezra's lightsaber to me, it flew to my hand. In one swift move I ignited it and slashed at a wall, causing debris to fall behind me.
Let's hope that'll slow him down. I thought, jumping over a rock in water before landing in the water. Splashing it up onto my jacket. I kept on running, my legs had gotten used to the long stretches of exercise. Where did he go? I thought, stopping to listen. But the sloshing of boots through water was there anymore. I took my lightsaber into ready position, my hands placed on the hilt as I waded cautiously forward.
"You have to focus, Celeste. Close your eyes and find me." Kanan's voice said gently in my head. I obey, closing my eyes, I listened again. This time, I could hear the humming of a lightsaber. Not mine. Kanan's. Coming from above. My eyes burst open as I just barely blocked his attack. The surprise causing me to stumble backwards. Our blades caught on eachother. I pushed down on my hilt, deflecting his lightsaber blade into the water. It hissed angrily as he swung it as me again. Going for the head. I had to act quickly. Switching the lightsaber to one hand, I blocked his saber. With the other I pushed him away with the force. He fell into the wall, stunned, but only for a moment. Without hesitation, I charged at him. Pinning him to the wall and putting the lightsaber at his neck.
"I win."
"No, tie." Suddenly, I could feel the heat at my side that I hadn't noticed before.
"Again?"
"You did better this time." He complemented, switching his blade off. I did the same. His teal eyes held a amount of pride in them as we walked back to the entrance.
