(Sometime after the Sports Festival)

3rd Person POV

"Thanks for bringing me out today, Midoriya," Kishi says, yawning.

"Y-yeah...no problem," Midoriya says, patting his back pocket and thinking of what happened the day before.

(Flashback To The Day Before, At The School Gates)

"No way! Her birthday is tomorrow?!" Midoriya yelped.

"Yeah, Ashido and Uraraka did some digging for future reference just yesterday. Apparently, Hanryoku had been losing sleep, so she somehow completely forgot, and thinks that it's only the 10th, I saw it written on her assignments today," Taiki explained. "I thought you should know since you guys seem like good friends."

"Hey! Taiki! Deku! There you are!"

The boys turned to see Uraraka waving, with Ashido in tow.

"O-oh, hey guys! What's up?" Midoriya asked.

"We're gonna need some help. I called the rest of class already and told them the situation, but I think the only one who has her number is you, Deku," Uraraka said. "We want to plan something at the boba place nearby, since I work there, then bring her to the arcade! Do you mind distracting her in the meanwhile?"

"Eh? Why me?" Midoriya asked.

"Because, you're the only one who can contact her on a short notice, if we suddenly contact her and ask to hang out, it sounds a little off," Ashido pointed out. "Just lead her around town for a bit and meet us at the boba place at around 1:30. See ya then?"

Midoriya pondered, but he realized this is her first birthday back in Japan, and that she might as well enjoy it. "Alright, I'll do it."

Good, the gift's there.

"Anyway, where to next?" Kishi asks, startling Midoriya out of his thoughts. Now that I think about it, her eye bags have gotten more prominent over the past few days, he realizes.

"O-oh, I'm kinda hungry, wanna have some lunch?" he asks.

"Sure, I've been craving udon," Kishi replies, nodding sleepily.

They walked toward the nearest udon restaurant in silence. Midoriya decided to initiate a conversation. "S-so, what was America like?"

Kishi's eyes snapped open, probably due to the sudden question. "Oh! Great! It was a lot different compared to here, but I really enjoyed living there for awhile."

Midoriya was a bit interested. "Where in America did you live anyway?"

"Well, you know where Hollywood is? I lived about two hours away," Kishi explains, rubbing her head. "Sorry for dozing off a bit, I've been really tired lately..."

"Oh no, it's fine!" he reassures. "Well, we're here," he says, stopping at the restaurant's door.

"Ah, you're right," Kishi smiles.

Midoriya's POV

I ordered a katsudon while Hanryoku ordered a bowl of udon. We sat down in a booth by the window and waited for the food in silence. Most likely because Hanryoku was falling asleep again as a comical nose bubble appeared out of her nose. I check my watch to see how much time we have to eat. 12:09. The boba shop is around 20 minutes away. We have a good hour to eat.
