Kishi's POV

"I give up," I say, just barely loud enough to be heard.

Almost everyone in the arena was visibly shocked. Bakugou tilts his head up and looks at me in utter confusion.

I tremble as a few tears threaten to fall out of my eyes.

Midnight, finally able to process what I said, holds up her whip. "Hanryoku surrenders! Bakugou is the winner!"

No one knew how to react. Bakugou gains the strength to get up and wobble toward me, grabbing my shirt collar.

"Why...WHY DID YOU STOP THE FIGHT?!" he musters out.

I stay quiet as he shakes me.

"YOU IDIOT! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BEAT YOU...now..."

He flops to the ground as pink mist clouds the air. I feel my eyelids also start to close.

I don't know if what I did was completely right...

But it's too late to turn back now.

3rd Person POV

"And now, it's time for the awards ceremony!" Midnight announces.

The press and the first years watch as the podiums rise out of the ground. However...

"Woah..."

"What the heck?"

"Uh..."

"MMMMMPH!!"

The audience sweatsdrop as they see Bakugou, chained up to a cement wall like a wild animal.

"He's been like this ever since he woke up," Kirishima explains.

Kishi chuckles at Bakugou's appearance. "He may as well be a feral beast," she comments.

"NNNGGGMMMPHHH! MMMHMMGGGGH!"

The press's cameras click away, nonetheless. Kishi shields her eyes for a few moments from the blinding light.

Midnight gains everyone's attention again. "Now, we will award the medals! Of course, there is only one man deserving of this job!"

A loud "ha ha ha" can be heard from above the stadium, as All Might jumps down.

"It's all Might!" the audience awes.

"I AM HERE WITH THE MEDALS!" "Our very own hero, All Might!" they say simultaneously.

...

"Sorry...I ruined that didn't I," Midnight apologizes as All Might sulks.

The crowd starts to fawn over how lucky the first years are to get a teacher like All Might.

"Now All Might, please present the medals, starting with third place," Midnight directs.

All Might strides over to the third place podium, where Todoroki and Isoki stand.

He starts by putting a bronze medal on Todoroki. "Young Todoroki, congratulations. I assume there's a reason as to why you didn't use your left side against Hanryoku?"

Todoroki looks down. "After the match with Midoriya, I've been unsure of myself. Hanryoku was also a formidable opponent that I greatly underestimated. I want to become a hero like you, but there are things I must settle first."
